The main argument of the pro-choice view for legalized abortions has to do with a woman's right to privacy and her right to control her body. The pro-choice viewers do not approve of governmental interference in personal matters like abortion. Certainly this right of p... ... middle of paper ... ... in society. The worldly materialization and sophistication has made the abortionists so insensitive towards morality that life has lost its true worth. The main point is not the price that an eye, a brain or heart is sold for, but that a helpless child had to be killed in order to obtain these parts.
Once the government can control the individual lives of people, where would it stop? Ending abortions is not the answer; abortions should remain a legal choice in the United States. Many pro-life advocates feel that abortion is murder. While they may have arguments to support this fact, the truth is, a fetus is not a living person. It cannot feel pain or live outside of the mother’s body.
They believe that no one has the power to take command of another’s life, mainly an infant, which is dependent on others for survival during the initial stages of life. In addition, to the fact that abortions kill innocent human beings, anti-abortionists believe that they also damage the mental, as well as physical condition of the mother. Since, after an abortion a mother is more susceptible to breast cancer, and to periods of depression. In the eyes of Economics, abortion can also have a negative effect, or an opportunity cost.
Advocates of Pro Life are consistently perusing abortion, stating that it is morally wrong, and unethical in all matters, even if the pregnancy is inadvertent. There are factors remaining in today’s society that are very forthcoming and are unanticipated by women in the prevention of pregnancy. If medical doctors abolished the procedure, or if the government made it even more difficult to obtain an abortion, we wouldn’t be supporting the righteousness of many women in the U.S. today. If contraception, in all forms, were 100% effective, then abortion could be abolished. Until medical research and testing finds a foolproof contraceptive, abortion is morally permissible because of obvious factors that are uncontrollable.
The first is that abortion should be legal in all ... ... middle of paper ... ...n even more difficult because often times the principles and morals conflict. I tend to feel that abortion is a violent and cruel act that takes an innocent unborn human life, but if I was faced with having an abortion I don’t know if I would act under these terms. If I was raped or my child was going to have defects I know that I would choose to have an abortion to avoid the extreme suffering waiting to happen. If I became pregnant accidentally I hope that I would go ahead and have the baby so as not to kill a human life even though I didn’t particularly want it. My whole life would probably be changed forever, but it would have been my fault for having careless sex in the first place.
Expecting to completely eliminate abortions from the face of the earth by making them illegal and getting rid of the facilities that provide them is an awfully absurd idea due to the fact that abortions will never cease to exist. Induced abortions have taken place all over the world, and “societies have [been struggling with] the issue of abortion for millennia” (Abortion). Within countries where abortions are essentially illegal, many turn to unsafe abortion methods, usually performed by unskilled practitioners (Chapter 5). These procedures are “often unsanitary… and [result] in the death or mutilation of many women” (Abortion). In areas where these services are not attainable, many women are prompted to seek out specialists to assist them in dangerous and surreptitious methods of abortion such as repeated blows to the stomach and the insertion of bizarre objects in the vagina and cervix.
Abortion is legal in many places all over the works but that does not make it any better it is allowing people to kill babies. People should never be able to take the life away from a poor invent little child that can't protect itself. You would not be in this world if your mom had gone to get an abortion. Abortion is a very controversial topic for it is just not right to put a women at risk of harming herself or take away a life that could someday flourish and into a great person. Abortion has many different definitions depending on which side your on.
They argue that abortion is a grave offend against God and his creation. They also say that it is an immoral and unsafe procedure that can result in serious medical complications. According to abortion’s advocates who think that it is a woman’s right to do whatever she wants with her body, abortion must be a legal practice. Beyond doubt, abortion is a wrong practice that punishes the unborn child who hasn’t committed a crime; in its place, it is the perpetrator who should be punished for murdering a human being indifferently, that must be considered as a first degree murder.
The issue of abortion is certainly one of the world’s hottest controversies in modern society. On one end of the issue, there is a group of people who call themselves “pro-life.” This group argues that aborting a fetus is equivalent to murdering a person. On the other end, there is another group that argue against the pro-lifers, claiming that it is a woman’s freedom and right to abort her child. Because of its ethical, religious and political implications, abortion laws have taken on many different forms around the world. While some countries completely ban abortion altogether, some states in America allow it under certain circumstances, and some other states openly allow it.
Perspective on Abortion Issues pertaining to abortion have always been contentious in both, the contemporary and traditional human society. Indeed, so emotive has the issue been that it has become one of the topics that have to be and are discussed in politics. Abortion is often defined as the deliberate termination of a pregnancy prior to its attainment of full term and with no intention whatsoever of keeping the fetus. In essence, it always results in the death of the unborn child, which explains why there has been all-ranging controversy. Questions have often been raised about the legality of abortion with different sides making assertions on why it should or should not be legal.
