Other women may not want children because of the money, time, and responsibility needed to take care of a child. If in the future abortions are made illegal the amount of deaths because of unsafe abortion methods used when a women is desperate for one. “God send us someone to cure cancer, AIDS, etc., etc.” “I did but you forced her to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term, forcing her to become a single mother with limited income, having to sacrifice her college dreams in order to provide for her unwanted child.”
Immoral means that someone does something they want to without thinking about others. Child abortion is considered immoral because the when the mother decides that she does not want to keep the child she is only thinking about herself. The idea of her talking the life of a child does not go through her head. It is all about what the mother wants because the child has no input on the decision. Another reason why abortion she be illegal is because technically it is considered murder.
Because of anti-abortion legislation women avoid going to the hospital, often until it is too late, to avoid prosecution from police. In the cases of rape and incest the very idea of being forced to have the child of the woman's abuser is repulsive. There are also cases when a woman's health is put in jeopardy by having a child at all, forcing such a woman to bring a child to term, would be no less than attempted murder. If a woman is forced to give birth to a child she does not want, if left in that woman's custody, the child could potentially face hatred and resentment from the mother for the rest of it's life. In countries all over the world, children are found dead and abandoned in places as degrading as garbage dumps.
Many women decide to have an abortion because they are scared to raise a baby, and scared of the future of the child. Some women want to abort because they get raped and they don’t want to have such a large responsibility without the available support. But whatever reason it is, it is never acceptable to kill an innocent pre born child. Some people would say it’s the woman’s own body, so it’s her choice if she wants to abort. Abortion is a difficult thing to do; a traumatic pregnancy is related to injuries and death.
There are also religions that forbid abortion as a sign of shamefulness, so women would rather induce their own abortion to make it seem it was a natural miscarriage. Immigrant families are in a financial crisis and therefore cannot pay for the medical expenses of an in – clinic abortion (Tornoe, 2009). These reasons should not justify the means of performing self – induced abortion for the sake of being hidden from authority. In turn, immigrant women would induce their own abortion instead of going to the Hospital, like damaging their physical body to kill the fetus. Immigrant women would fall down the stairs or take a chair and hit their belly so many times until they bleed (Tornoe, 2009).
Pro-Life Pro-choice and pro-life advocates which is people in support, or not in support of abortions, have had contentious disputes throughout America. An Abortion is often described as a premeditated killing of a human being often performed during the first trimesters of pregnancy. The killing of any human being is unlawful yet abortion laws grant women the opportunity to kill a child with no questions asked. Some women believe that it is their right to be able to decide whether they want to abort their child, however they don’t understand the horrible effects of their decision. Abortion may be the key to ending someone’s life, and surly will be the same key that causes harm to the female body.
However, some girls are forced to have an abortion. No matter the reason someone has for an abortion, it is still cruel. Some women are forced to have an abortion either by their parents or their spouse. This circumstance is very hard to argue because the woman who is pregnant is not making the choice and should not be held accountable for it. And that is the only reason anyone might consider having an abortion. Look at it like this, Jeff and Bonnie are building a house, what's the first thing they do?
Most women get abortion because they believed that a baby will affect their working, or schooling. Then others say they don’t want to be a single parent, or their struggling with their husband or partner. Some women get an abortion for the safety of their body or the baby. ****The pro-choice option gives the women a decision to choose whether or not she wants an abortion. Women that may have an unplanned pregnancy and do not plan on keep the child can have an opportunity to abort the child if they want to do so.
The average woman comes up with at least three excuses for having an abortion; ¾ say they if they have the baby it will interfere with work or school, another ¾ say they can’t afford this child and ½ say they don’t want to be a single parent or they’re having too many complications with their significant other. What if you were one of these woman coming up with an excuse as to why you can’t have this child? Would you really want to go through with killing it instead of having it? Even though it is wrong to have woman continue pregnancy when rape or incest has occurred or if this pregnancy affects the woman’s health and well-being, it is also wrong to take someone’s life from them. I am against this because back in 2008 approximately 1.21 million abortions took place in the US.
It is proven that actually the younger a woman is, she is more susceptible to the mental effects of abortion. “The younger the girls, the more attached they have become to their child. When they are pressured into having an abortion, their sense of vulnerability compounds the trauma; their sense of helplessness is magnified by their inability to protect their child” (Grigg). People think that if they get rid of a baby all responsibility of caring for a child is lost, which proves false the younger you are. A study using more than 870,000 women stated that “women who have an abortion are at an 81 percent increased risk for mental health problems, including anxiety disorders, depression, drug abuse and suicidal behaviors” (Monahan).
