Women are the sole determinate persons in stating if they are capable of withholding a full term pregnancy. As an advocate of women’s right’s to Pro choice, I am extending my viewpoints to you in this proposition. Many people have their opinions on abortion, usually being one extreme or the other. Advocates or Pro choice often finds themselves swaying their opinions of when abortion is morally ethical dependent upon the controlling factors. Advocates of Pro Life are consistently perusing abortion, stating that it is morally wrong, and unethical in all matters, even if the pregnancy is inadvertent.
Marisa Guzman 12/3/14 HDCS Abortions There will always be a debate over whether or not abortion should be a legal option. It continues to divide Americans very long after the US Supreme Court’s decision on Roe v. Wade. People, identifying themselves as pro-choice, say that choosing abortion is a right that should not be limited by the government or religious authority, and it outweighs any right claimed for a fetus or an embryo. It is said that pregnant women will resort to unsafe, illegal abortions if they do not get the option to do it the safer way, legally. Their opponents, identifying themselves as pro-life, say that a life begins at conception, and so abortion is the immoral killing of an innocent, helpless human being.
It is only fair to say that women should be given the same choice. If one does not want to hold the responsibilities of a child then she should be able to have the choice of abortion in her options. Because contraceptives fail, and because they are ... ... middle of paper ... ...e if they were not conceived. In summary, a woman's right to choose can justify abortion, but it should be banned because it is immoral and life begins at conception. Women have been given the right to have an abortion under the United States Constitution, but the people that fight for the unborn child's rights are still protesting this right. Pro-life activists claim that it is immoral because it is simply defined as murder.
With only these exceptions, I believe that we should respect the rights of any living human, unborn or born; they must be allowed to have the right to live and progress. When discussing the topic of abortion, those who take the side of pro-choice often believe that it is uncertain when human life truly begins so technically abortion is not murder since there really is no true child in the womb. They believe this question of when life starts is a religious question which cannot be answered by science. But if the concern is truly based on uncertainty about when human life begins, then who are we to... ... middle of paper ... ... women would not occur because they would take care of it professional is not entirely true, women still die from legal abortions in America. We must not legalize a procedure that kills an innocent life just because it makes it less hazardous.
It appears there are many different reasons that a woman would get an abortion. Some seem like they should not be done, but others are very understandable. Abortion is one of the most discussed and controversial topics in the United States. To be pro-choice means to want abortion to be legal and available to women. To be pro-life means to not want abortion to be legal and all babies to be born.
The mother would of course love the child, but with that would come a form of hate. It is true that one should take responsibility for their actions, but rape is no action of their own. Rape is an act of violence and no women should have to have a baby out of it. As a women I agree that I, and only I, should make the decision of rather to have an abortion or to not have one.
While some people argue that abortion is a right and should remain legal, I believe that there are too many flaws with their claims to protect abortion for it to be preserved. Pro-life groups, or those who promote the legal protection of unborn children, support their views by laying a foundation that explicitly highlights the deliberate killing of a life. Abortion desensitizes society to a quiet form of violence, often calling the pro-choice movement a silent holocaust. These fetuses cannot speak for themselves, cannot shout for help when being surgically removed from the world as they know it. Women who have abortions tend to develop issues ranging from those that deal with emotional, psychological, physical, and mental damage.
First of all, they assume the stance as individuals who support the right to privacy and the idea that women should have the choice to do what they please with their own bodies. As such they have the right to opt for... ... middle of paper ... ...tion at hand. Abortion cannot prevent or reverse rapes from occurring. There is proof that progresses the argument that performing abortions after rape increases the emotional and psychological trauma of the entire ordeal Hence, nobody should be killed for the crime of another person. In my opinion therefore adoption is a way better option to get “rid” of the child if the mother cannot go pass the idea of having the baby of a rapist.
This could imply that, abortion is deprived all rights from un-birthed baby in future. Therefore, abortion is a seriously wrong. I believe that, by basically speaking, fetus and mother are equal value, once mother got conception, fetus become a human being, just like all of us. Indeed, he/she should have equal ... ... middle of paper ... ...an being has its own rights to survival and each one has own future value, even the value is not showing right now. We cannot arbitrarily deprive the rights from them.
For years it has been a controversy that an abortion should not be legal. Many people feel aborting an unwanted child, or killing an unwanted child should be against the law. A woman's body is her own to do with what ever she wants. With this being said, on the topic of abortions, I agree with it. Furthermore in countries such as Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Egypt abortion is illegal.
