The first article is entitled “Why abortion is immoral,” is written by Don Marquis that considers arguments to establish the basic wrongness of abortion. Marquis connects abortion with murder, a victim that is murdered is deprived of the value of his or her future. A fetus, if not aborted, can be assumed to have a future like ours that is also of value therefore aborting the fetus is immoral. Marquis rejects the idea that assumes anti-abortion arguments to be either a irrational religious dogma or a conclusion generated from confused philosophical arguments.
Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy, and induced abortion is when a woman makes the decision to have her pregnancy ended in a surgical or medical way. The social conflicts arising from abortion have been around since the procedure was invented, and have risen since 1973 when it became legal after the Roe versus Wade decision. Communities are constantly battling over the issues of Pro-Choice and Pro-Life and how far into a pregnancy is too long to have the procedure performed.
From 1973 to 1987, over 22 million abortions have been performed. Pro-lifers would call that a terrible waste of humanlife. True, 22 million lives were taken, but I believe that we are better off without those. Webster's dictionary defines abortion as "the expulsion of anonviable fetus." Abortion might possibly be the mostcontroversial topic right now. I'm sure by now that you've heard of all the different types ofabortion.
Abortion refers to termination of pregnancy with the consent of the mother. Therefore even when the mother herself is demanding abortion, pro-lifers maintain that termination must not be allowed because it violates basic rights of the unborn child. Pro-choice quarter on the other hand, advocates a mother’s right to health and feels that an unwanted child would only lead to numerous economic, social and emotional problems for the woman. The paper therefore addresses both sides of the issue and also briefly mentions that the role of the Supreme Court in this area.
As of right now, abortion is legal in all nine months of the pregnancy for any reason. This controversial issue is a question of how important the value of life is. The turning point came in 1973 when the Supreme Court's decision in Roe vs. Wade saying, that women have the right to murder an innocent child only up to 24 weeks . This false perception is fueled part by groups supporting abortion rights and it is then uncritically unaccepted by the media.
bortion has claimed more lives than one could ever imagine. ”More babies die each year than the combined casualties of: the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, World War I & 11, the Korean War, Vietnam, and Persian Gulf Wars.” (Abortion) If this many babies are dying, carful thought should be given to the arguments that surround this topic. There are many debates and arguments that surround the topic of abortion. The author’s goal is that people can see some of the error in the pro-choice arguments.
The loss of a fetus before it is able to live outside the womb is called

I took the ethic class in this semester, besides explaining the morality theory that we could use in daily life, it is also talking about how to think some ethical issues in common nowadays and make the decision from the perspective of moral philosophy way. Abortion is one of the ethical issues that people argued a lot as. People are more likely deciding into two sides. Pro-life (abortion is morally wrong, fetus is like a human being.) and pro-choice (the fetus is not human being also woman should have right to decide) In this paper I will focus on mother-fetus relationships and Marquis’ argument for abortion is seriously wrong, afterward state I will explain why I think he made a successful argument and present my reasons for pro-life. Also, I will follow up with one of objection about human right for fetus and then respond my thinking to the objection.
Does a mother have the right to take the life of her unborn child, never giving it a chance to walk this earth and fulfill its God given purpose? Or is it God’s will for that child to be taken at that time, to play an ever constant reminder to the mother of her past decisions, having God use that guilt or experience as a source to steer her life? We neither have the ability to create nor destroy life, as it is God who ultimately decides whether the person terminates that life. From a non-biblical standpoint, it is based on whether a woman finds it ethically right to terminate a pregnancy and what effect it would ultimately have on her happiness. Therefore, abortion is not philosophically incorrect. In this paper, we will discuss the cosmological argument, individual relativism, and act-utilitarianism, all as they pertain to abortion, and how natural law and ethical relativism cause opposition to these theories.
Sara is driving down 7th avenue in her red pickup truck, in a hurry and traveling well over the speed limit. Becky, who is 3 months pregnant, is waiting to cross the street on the corner of 7th avenue and Bell. The street light changes and Becky is signaled by the crosswalk sign to proceed across the street. Sara is putting in a new CD and not paying attention to the fact that she has a red light, without enough time to stop Sara runs the red light and hits Becky who has just started to cross the street. Now Becky is rushed to the hospital, she is hurt but will live but her baby dies. Should Sara be charged with the death of the unborn baby?
Thirty-three million people have AIDS in the world. Africa has two-thirds of that number. According to the United Nations Aids Program on HIV/Aids, and World Health Organization (WHO), estimates, seven out of ten people newly infected with HIV in 1998 live in sub Saharan Africa. Among children under 15, the proportion is nine out of ten. Of all Aids deaths since the epidemic started, eighty-three percent have been in the region. These numbers sound even more astonishing considering only one-tenth of the world’s population lives in Africa, south of the Sahara. The amount of Africans affected by the epidemic is frightening. Since the start of the epidemic, an estimated 34 million people living in sub-Saharan Africa have been infected with HIV. Approximately 11.5 million of those people have already died, one-fourth of them being children. During the course of 1998, Aids has been responsible for an estimated two million deaths in Africa. There is about 21.5 million men and women living with HIV in Africa, plus an extra one million being children. Four million of those people contracted the infection in 1998 alone (Mail & guardian).
Fonte also states the pros of a community college. I personally have heard cons against community colleges but I never really heard about the pros. “In particular, these institutions make readily available freshman and sophomore level courses that transfer to a four-year university at low cost” (Fonte). This is beneficial for transfers who want to continue for two more years.
In 2015, 39% of total undergraduates enrolled in college throughout the United States were at community colleges. Some of the positive aspects of community college revolve around cost, academic exploration, and transitioning. Throughout the United States, it is often that 2-year community college tuition costs are much lower than that of a renowned 4-year university. This makes it easier for people of lower incomes to have the chance, and achieve a form of higher education past high-school. Community College also offers a chance for academic exploration to individuals who are not sure if they want to commit to a 4-year university. Community Colleges provides an opportunity for individuals to explore different majors and studies that are offered
