A. In this passage, Abilene is speaking to the reader. She is discussing to the reader that there seem to be stereotypes in every school she goes to (the ones that are rich, poor, comfortable, popular, etc.). When Abilene is telling the reader this, she is at the Sacred Heart of the Holy Redeemer Elementary School on the last day of school. She is explaining this to tell of her past life at different schools.

B. This quote shows how a person who rides trains and changes schools a lot knows about social stereotypes at schools.
