A Walk In The Leaves

It was a week before school was to start, and Lucinda was ready to begin a new year. She had gained confidence in herself over the summer. Ambur had showed her she was important and should not waste time worrying about bullies that have nothing better to do than bother other kids. Both she and Frances had faced challenges and learned from their adventures these past few weeks.

Please always try to be the one,
Whose smile is brighter than the sun.
This is my plea.
For if you’re proud of who you are,
I know in your life you’ll go far.
It is to be.
Go now to live and work and play,
And know that at the end of day ...
Lucinda’s free
