James W. Sire claimed that world view is “…a set of presuppositions… which we hold… about the makeup of our world.” As of me, my definition does not deviate much. World view is the way, either supported or unsupported, how I see what I see. It’s like glasses where I see everything through the filter of glasses. Supposedly, world view can affect one very much. The fact that Muslims goes to Mecca or Christians going to church every week or the mere choice between chocolate bar and ice cream are all affected by world view.
The Christian world view bases everything to the scripture, the Bible. Christians say that humans are innately evil because Adam and Eve were kicked out from the Garden of Eden. Christians also emphasizes that it is only through Jesus for one to achieve salvation. This has been somewhat controversial recently just because Christianity is saying there is no other way where other religions say there are. One of the main characteristics of Christianity is that God is omnipotent and omnipresent. With this, critics of Christianity has been saying that if God is omnipotent, for example, that He could move a rock so big that even God cannot move. This is very stupid argument though, with having illogical paradox in the comment itself. About theology Christians believe that God is one and three, existing all together, thus called the Trinitarian Theology. Here, God, Son and Holy Spirit all exists at the same time but also exists as one. As main premise of Christianity, many tried to challenge the notion resulting in heresies such as the notion where God is God, Son is a mere creature and Holy Spirit is force of God. Though some Christians have faulty information, it is fact that Christianity is in support of philosophy....

...d post-modernism both supported punctuated evolution though their ideas, especially the difference between cultural relativism and proletariat morality gave them a huge difference. Post-modernism, personally, deserves lots of critiques. Can’t they realize that they are making universal claims when they say there cannot be a universal claim? Also Marxist-Leninism is weird too because of its proletariat morality which indicates that government’ job is always right. That’s not true at all. Cosmic Humanists say that we are all gods. Then why is god needed? And then who made the world? Cosmic humanists are very ambiguous in their world view except for their claim that everything is god.

Christian Beliefs in the Origins of the World “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. ” A Description of Christian Beliefs About the Origins of The World Christians believe that God created the universe. In Chapters 1 and 2 of Genesis, we are told that God creates both the universe and everything that is in it.
Every Christian believes that at the beginning of time God created the world in his image. Creating man in his image to be pure and obedient to his word. God created his society to where it was perfect in his eyes, and no one would do wrong because they would obey him. His society was perfect until Adam and Eve fell into the Serphants trap and ate the forbidden fruit. This forbidden fruit is the exact same one that God told them to stay away from and if not, horrible things would happen on earth.

Worldview is how you view certain views from a certain perspective, such as a Christian worldview would be how you view certain views from a Christian perspective. Everything in life is affected by worldview and everyone has one. As Christians, our worldview is using the Bible for our starting on our views. An example of a worldview is, according to the article “What is a Christian Worldview?”, “Christianity as taught in the Bible is itself a worldview.” 77 words.
In the essay "Worldviews in Conflict," Charles Colson and Nancy Pearcey compare and contrast the ideas of Christianity and the views of today's society. Throughout the essay they provide information about how the changes in society affect views regarding Christianity. Charles Colson and Nancy Pearcy's essay was written to contribute information so others could understand their views about the shifting cultural context and how it affects society's beliefs.
What is a worldview? A worldview is an idea or thought that manifest in our brain but is originated from how we perceive and feel towards events that happen during our life. The opinions we express outwardly in action disseminates to others with whom we surround ourselves with, and vise versa. Collectively we take in worldviews and judge them to our own view, and settle on a conscious agreement to what we hold to be truth.
Christian Worldview is specific and one that focuses on gods teaching through, scripture, prayer, chapel and the bible. Christians live to Gods words and become a product of God by using his scriptures to live by. Humans must put their trust in God and let him guide their lives. In order to have a good relationship with God you must have faith and ask for forgiveness when needed. This worldview can be explained by answering who God is, who Jesus is, how humanity goes into being a Christian, and how to solve the problems of humanity.
The worldview that I embrace in my everyday life is European worldview, although I am Mexican the European worldview over weights the worldview that people will assume I have. I embrace the European worldview because the aesthetics, epistemolgy, cosmology, ontology and axiology that deal with that worldview are all genuine beliefs of mine that constantly affect me in my everyday life. The African worldview is completely different, it is all for loving your peers and is more community based.
In the book foundations of Christian thought by Mark Cosgrove in part 1 the, Concept of Worldview, in chapter 5, Integration of Faith and Learning, Cosgrove explains the model of faith being broken down into four simple approaches. These models are the sole authority, separate authorities, equal authorities, and foundational authority. First, I will define Sole Authority, also known as the Against model, defined as faith against learning. In this model, it says that there is no point in studying human knowledge and that human knowledge is probably going to be incorrect. Everything worth learning, we can learn from God’s word. Secondly, is the Separate Authorities model, also known as the Parallels are faith and learning. This model says
The Christian worldview emphasizes on one absolute God who is eternal and sacred. The origins that Christians follow is written in Genesis 1, proclaiming God spoke and created the world. God then created man in the image of God.
A person can only know who they are based on their interests, and how they help guide us through the daily problems of life. One thing we have to pay attention to is the point that each of our unique worldviews, is in its simplest state a way to reduce and solve issues in our lives. After taking The Art of Being Human class, my personal worldview has changed to a belief in having compassion for everybody in the world according to classic Buddhist teachings. This mindset goes beyond those teachings, however, to almost a natural way of thinking that if humans care for everything on earth a lot of our man-made problems would go away. One of the ways we can do this is to read literature and enjoy entertainments from the past, in able to learn lessons
the gap that existed between man and God because of sin, has been bridged. His precious blood that was shed on the cross wiped away all our sins. Furthermore, the death of Christ means humanity received grace; “grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” According to John the Baptist in John 1:18, know one has set eyes on the Father, but through Jesus Christ, who is in close relation with God the Father, has made Him known.
After reading the fourth chapter heading of Consider, the first definition of worldview that came to my mind was “view of the world” just from a literary perspective. The co-authors defined worldview as “a framework a person brings to decision-making” (Weider & Gutierrez, 2011, p.51). Everyone has a worldview with main characteristics that are ever changing. Different sources influence this framework, such as parenting, friendship, telecommunication or internet media, educational and religious sectors. Hindson and Caner (2008) propose standardization methods of worldview that are measured either by emotions and feelings, socialism, or the truth (Hindson & Caner, 2008, p.499).
My personal worldview explains the way I view and live life through the assumptions and beliefs I hold in response to the world around me. I believe I was created for a specific reason and purpose.
Although we may not all see eye to eye, we all still have our own worldview. The central idea of a worldview is to be the different beliefs that is an understanding of how we see the world around us. It will be understood by how a person feels about different emotions and ideas that are encountered on a daily basis. A worldview is a response of our heart or inner being: our intellect, emotion and will. (Weider, Gutierrez,59) We create our own personal worldview based on things we believe are true and norms to society. A worldview perspective shapes, influences, and generally directs a person's entire life. (Samples 2007)
