Pregnancies are something considered to be extremely special in many people’s lives. When newly expecting mothers find out about the bundle of joy furiously growing inside them, happiness is something to be surely found. But what happens when that happy moment isn’t so happy? More than half of pregnancies among American women are unintended, and about four in ten of these are terminated by abortion. (Jones) That is four in ten babies that never get to see the light of day. And that isn’t even counting the illegal or accidental abortions that also occur in the U.S. All of this occurs because of one decision that is far from simple, life or death. That decision is ultimately up to the mother carrying the baby, except for the few states which have laws stating a parental guardian must agree if the mother to be is a minor. But that decision is not one that should ever be taken lightly. Abortion has becomes well known, and is sure to start an argument between two disagreeing people. It has also become a very controversial topic. This medical procedure has been around for a long time and essentially it has evolved with society and advanced technology. In simple terms an abortion is when the pregnancy is ended so that it does not result in the birth of a child. (BPAS) This on going feud of abortion has many sides which results in many different views. Abortion should be made illegal because it is inhumane with exceptions of the mother or baby being at risk.
When abortion is talked about many things may come to mind such as ethical reasoning’s, religious views, problems and risks, what ifs, and options. The many problems make it a very heated topic that everyone has an opinion on. But first you must understand that in reality, abortion wi...
