This love is what causes him to kill himself. The problem with death, killing, and loss is that they are all the roots of chain reactions. Because of Johnny dying, Dally kills himself, and because Ponyboy loses two of his greatest friends, he shuts down and starts blocking out the world. He does this because he believes that if he can keep out everyone else, he can keep out that voice telling him “Dally and Johnny are dead, Pony. You’ll never get ‘em back.” Peer pressure is also a serious problem in both social groups.

Attorneys for Brandon McInerney argue that their client, who was 14 when he gunned down Larry King in an Oxnard junior high school computer lab, was so humiliated by King's flirtation that it provoked him to kill his classmate. Larry approached Brandon numerous times upsetting him in different ways. There are even rumors about King blowing kisses at McInerney and asking him to be his valentine. On the day before the shooting King loudly said “Love you, baby!” to McInerney as they passed in a corridor. King’s sexual advances fueled his anger towards Larry.

Then there were some who were so focused on facts said in court, and would not look at the circumstances surrounding the facts, for example: that there was only one switch knife like that in the world, however, that was proven wrong. Juror three was overcome by entire case, because of his son running away two years before, because the juror beat him “until he was a man.” The tenth juror allowed his prejudice mind to effect his decision, it was not until the end that he knew what he was saying was racists and held no facts (everyone is human). Juror twelve made me the most upset because he was easily bullied into a different decision every time someone talked; he truly was playing both sides. 2. Name several standards or benchmarks jurors utilized to base guilt or innocence.
Only 2 women, Gertrude and Ophelia, enter into his world, so he used their characters as a complete character assessment of all women. Hamlet directs the insult ‘frailty thy name is women’ at Gertrude, and in some ways this remark is justified. Hamlet is disillusioned with her because of her ‘o’erhasty marriage’ to Claudius. He thinks it is incestuous and at times seems angrier about it then his father’s murder, ‘in the rank sweat of an enseamed bed.’ This is why often people say that Hamlet has an Oedipus complex. This is an idea developed by Freud who says all sons want to sleep with their mothers and kill their fathers.
First of all, peer pressure/manipulation is the lighting match of the whole conflict inside the story. Mark Kinney is the father of all peer pressuring during this story; he uses phrases as: “aw its just a joke, last year senior class kidnapped Mrs. Luna. To slowly manipulate/peer pressure his friends into helping him in abducting Mr. Griffin. After it all goes wrong and Sue tells Mark people will notice Mr. Griffin is gone, he says in chapter 9 page 110: “They do, men leave home all the time. They go-just light out and go- and years go by and nobody ever finds out where they went”.
People have set his image as a horrifying guy who likes to eat dead animals. Unfortunately, their opinion of him has been influenced all the people that live in maycomb to believe he is a cruel man. A few examples of these beliefs are, “People said he went out at night when the moon was down, and peeped in windows. When people’s azaleas froze, it was because he had breathed on them” (10).... ... middle of paper ... ...going after Atticus, Bob Ewell decides to attack Jem and Scout. Introduction Tyler Clementi was an 18-year-old Rutgers University freshman who committed suicide by jumping off the George Washington Bridge on Sept. 22, 2010. According to authorities, Clementi’s roommate had used a webcam to spy on Clementi’s romantic encounters with another man, then used Twitter to invite others to watch a second live transmission two days later (Pérez-Peña, 2012). Clementi had posted a suicide note on his Facebook page that read simply, “Jumping off the gw bridge sorry” (Foderaro, 2010). After his death, family and friends turned the page into an online memorial. Family members describe Clementi as driven and shy, with few friends.
