Over the bridges and through the desert to grandparents’ house we go During spring break in 2012, my family went on a very interesting trip. We were looking forward to going to the famous Getty museum and taking a trip to Disneyland, however, my grandparents got in the way. The thirteen hour two day journey to California was anything but interesting. My brother and I read books and listened to music to occupy the time but the journey was still brutal. After a long ten hour journey we made it to our swanky Las Vegas hotel. I marveled at how big the snake shaped swimming pool was with its built in waterfall. Chat was dispersed through my family about all the fun we would have in the swimming pool the next morning. The next morning lots of laughs were shared between my family. My whole family was quite excited to be going to Disneyland so we managed to fill the time talking about all the adventures and memories we wanted to make. The hotel the second day was a fancy beachfront hotel that held many promises of great times to be had. We would be staying there for six days so there was plenty of time to relax on the beach.
