This along with Beethoven symphony pushes him and his friends to roam the streets terrorizing the elderly, rob convenience stores, and rape women. On one occasion they come across an old man in the streets and they torment him, beating and kicking him until he starts to vomit. On another occasion, the droogs break into a house, raid the pantry, destroy the husband’s literature, and even rape the wife. Soon after, he gets in a fight over dominance in the group with Georgie. The police brutalize Alex and are elated to have caught him. Alex soon discovers the woman has died, and he is sentenced to 14 years of jail for murder. Alex, now known as number "6655321," spends two years in State jail, dealing with brutal wardens, homosexual prisoners, and mindless labor. He relates that Georgie has died. His one supporter in prison is the chaplain, who has taken Alex under his wing since Alex got interested in the Bible - little does he know that Alex entertains violent fantasies when reading the book.
But one day Pete, Georgie and Dim betrays Alex, and he is arrested by the police. He gets arrested because he has murdered a woman. He is sentenced to 14 years in jail. After some years in prison he kills an inmate, and he has to try a new technique called the Ludovico's Technique, which cures criminels who likes violence. After two weeks he is cured.
Upon interrogation of Alex, he discovers that the blow he delivered to the young lady was a fatal one. He is charged with first-degree murder and sentenced to 14 years in prison. While there, he befriends the resident minister and becomes a helper to his service. The minister, Alex soon discovers, is a part in a new form of treatment that is trying to be implemented prisons to help "cure" inmates from committing acts of violence. Through luck and discussion with the higher officials in the prison, Alex is chose to be a guinea pig for the experiment, and is sent to become "inoculated from violence".
Unfortunately for Alex, on one of these nights, while robbing the home of an elderly woman, he is betrayed by his “droogs” and arrested by the police. His life is completely turned around. As part of the conditioning program, Alex is forced to watch films with his eyelids clamped open. His face is then wrapped in electrical straps and wires. He is forced to watch violent scenes and right after those scenes follow crimes that Alex committed with his gang of friends. In the rear of the theater, the doctors watch his reactions and record his behavior. These images of violence in the films induced nausea caused by the injections.

It is a reality that stunned the city of Oxnard California when a 14-year-old boy named Brandon McInerney fatally shot a fellow classmate, Larry King, twice in the back of the head. The incident occurred in a computer lab where Brandon ran off after committing the crime. As a result of his actions Brandon McInerney was tried as an adult and was sentenced to 21 years in prison with no chance of parole. He will be released at the age of 39.
