Introduction

Situation Analysis
Special education refers to the preparation of teaching procedures and materials, and other interventions designed to address the needs of a child with learning differences, disabilities, and giftedness. Moreover, special education’s concern is the optimum development of the individual child to become a skillful, free and purposive person, able to plan and manage his own life and attain his highest potential in society (UNESCO, 1988).

Lewis (2009), indicated in his book that every interaction between teachers and pupils is a learning experience for the pupils who are involved in it. At other end is the belief that the behavior has to do entirely with some deficiency in the pupil. The assumption is that pupils only behave inappropriately because there is something wrong with them.
Further, inappropriate behavior is known as the greatest threat to pupil’s ability to perform well and achieve successfully in all activities done in school. It is also a belief that a person seeking attention is more likely to be inappropriate behavior because it will achieve immediate attention.
Likewise as cited by Castle (2011), children with elevated uttering behaviors are more likely to engage in forms of non-academic actions (e.g., aggression, impulsivity, hyperactivity, talking, arguing, and rule-breaking) that interfere with learning in the classroom (Abikoff et al., 2002; Junod et al., 2006).
