There are many reasons why the Army should be considered a profession. The Army trains and certifies its members, has continuing development of its personnel, and contains many professions within it. Much like doctors and lawyers, the Army requires each member to complete training and certification. The Army focuses on development of its personnel to maintain skills important to the profession. Aside from the profession itself, the Army contains many other professions. The U.S. Army has and will continue to maintain and advance the profession through study and intellectual development.

The United States Army has a mission to defend their country by fighting some of the toughest battles known to man. This organization is made up of a band of the strongest people the United States has ever produced. Factors such as entrance requirements, education, financial options, carrier opportunities, benefits, and interests are all colossal components in the branch of military.

Today's hostile commercial center make it hard for even the most qualified persons to land a position and the individuals who don't have a degree in school, paying little mind to experience and ability are at an emotional inconvenience. Full time training is impossible for everyone, most particularly to those people that need to juggle their times in a numerous employments to meet their own exercises or occupations and in the meantime their homework's. Enlisting with an accredited online college is a best choice to get an advanced education.
“It’s not that I can and others can’t, it’s that I will and others won't.” (N.A.,2016) Joining the military can open up a variety of new opportunities and benefits. A medical/hospital corpsman or specialist in the Navy offers an even wider array of opportunities from world travel to hands on experience and lifelong memories. The requirements of enlistment are basic and easily achievable. There are many careers available in the Navy that offer special training however, the medical field is always looking for experienced medical professionals and tend to heavily recruit those in or those who have been in the military with a medical based career.
My Military Career
I, Pedro M. Blas, born in Lima, Peru, I came to the United States around the age of twelve years old. Growing I did have some obstacles until I enjoyed in the military. During my years of my military career I went to countries that I never imagine. Everything started on 1999, I was working with my brother in law as a helper truck driver, and everything was fine until the end of my working shift. The owner of the company call me at the office explaining the situation of the company and he since obligate to cut some hours and give layoff to some workers.
Each year there is a decreasing number of military recruits that are joining right after they have graduated high school, and tend to wait a few years after graduation. Military recruiters are constantly visiting schools to inspire kids that want to enlist. To join there are age, physical, educational, and citizenship requirements that are required for you to be eligible. Some enlist because of having parents that have served, to obtain education after high school, because they feel it is the best direction for them and want to defend their country, or in some cases to fight for their citizenship.
The question “What does it mean for the Army to be a Profession of Arms?” means that even though the main purpose of the Army is to help, protect, and defend. Just like the NCO Creed states “I will not forget, nor will I allow my comrades to forget that we are professionals, Noncommissioned Officers, Leader”. We have to at all times remain professional with our actions and reactions to every situation we face. We must lead from the front. Other nation are watching what we are doing either negative or positive. I believe as military members we set the example not just for our Soldiers but for the rest of the world.
As a service member, I can attest to the fact that having a college degree as an enlisted soldier can influence your military career in a positive way. Although enlisted soldiers do not require a college degree to perform their duties,
