A Business Proposal Introduction

Alexandra Palace is owned and controlled by the Haringey Local

Authority. Over the years Alexandra Palace has had two devastating

fires and as a result, has had to spend a large sum of money to

rebuild certain structures. It is a fact that Alexandra Palace is

losing a lot of capital each year. The cost of keeping it running

seems to be more than any gross profit made.

The aim of this piece of coursework is to create and present a

business proposal for Alexandra Palace, which is suitable to bring in

good income over a long period of time. There is more to Marketing

than, selling. The 4P's are the four different aspects of marketing a

product.

Developing & Designing a Product:

Businesses must conduct market research/questionnaire in order to find

out what consumers needs are. All consumers have needs, these are the

basic things which we all need to survive.

E.g. - Food, Drink, Clothes, Warmth, Shelter.

Other than that, consumers also have wants. These are considered

luxuries and are the next step above the 'basic survival products'.

E.g. - Mobile Phone, Jewellery, Computer Games, Televisions.

Using the results from this research, companies then try to design a

service or a product, which can satisfy their needs or wants.

Getting the Price Right:

When a business is about to release their product onto the market they

must make sure that the price of the product is accurate. It must be

affordable for the customers, but must also allow the business to make
