Just a few years ago the Affordable Care Act otherwise known as the ACA. The Affordable Care Act is also famously know as Obamacare. This has not been very good for the American people in several ways. It has caused the people of this great nation a very difficult time in signing up for this new healthcare, everyone’s insurance prices have risen, people have been losing a lot of hours at work, and if people decide not to have insurance they can be fined. The way to get rid of all of these problems is to get rid of the Affordable Care Act all together.

Brian Joyce, a radio host, stated, “The underinsured are a big reason why healthcare is so expensive in the United States. They are a big reason why the rest of us pay so much for coverage and services that cost a fraction of the price in many other countries. To allow the underinsured to remain underinsured simply because they like their plans defeats the purpose of healthcare reform” (1). ObamaCare is requiring insurers to make plans by regions instead of by state, so if someone visits a doctor out of town, the care given will not be covered (Gottlieb 1). The limited plans are called narrow networks.
Universal healthcare has always been a hot button topic in our country. However, the last few years have seen many arguments over how we should handle the current health care crisis. As healthcare costs rise and the economy worsens the threat of large medical bills has loomed over almost every American citizen. While some politicians have been proponents of Universal Healthcare or a single payer insurance system, many more are convinced it will be the ruin of the country’s health industry. The health care industry is a big part of the high cost of care in our country.
