Every day we are bombarded with images of demolition and terrorism carried out in the name of religion. Who is to blame? Ask the media, they will point only to Muslims, for example, ‘The Sun’ headline states ‘Woolwich terror suspect revealed as Muslim convert known to MI5’. Not anymore! We have to stop this injustice and inhumane ways right now! We are annoyed by the media giving misleading news, for example, the 7/7 London bombings, the blame were ultimately put on Muslims; they shouldn’t have directly suspected Muslims without evidence claiming they’ve caused the bombings as people immediately believe what is presented by the media as it invites prejudice thoughts. The society will continuously stereotype Muslims for being violent, as terrorists; they were displayed as terrorists in the past, so they can do it again. Since the event of 9/11, Muslims in the USA have been detained; at least 700,000 Muslims have been interviewed by law enforcement. Recently, a 14-year-old Muslim school boy called Ahmed Mohamed was arrested after taking a homemade clock to school, but the teacher assumed it was an explosive device. He created a science project of a clock, which was created inside a pencil case including other materials from around the house and then the teacher thought of it as a hoax bomb, after a few days the teacher realised the intentions of the boy and his project. This news creates a positive reaction from the public, as it is showing how you shouldn’t assume things. Together, we must demonstrate that Islam is a religion of peace and harmony, we must exhibit the fact that everyone who is a Muslim is not a terrorist, and we must expose the media who claim deceitful news about terrorism and blaming it on Muslims. People think Muslims are foolish: however, mathematics, coffee, vaccination came from Muslim
