There are five pillars the Islam is built on. Muslims believe that God or Allah is the only deity. Most importantly, Islam is a faith of peace and submission to God. Oneness of God is the first Pillar, Tawhid. This means that Allah is the only god and that no one else is his equal or partner. This oneness drives the requirement of direct communication between Muslims and Allah. The second pillar of Islam is Salaat, Muslims pray five times a day. Prayer is always faced towards the city Mecca; this direction is called kiblah. The first prayer is Fajr, then zuhr, next is asr, then maghrib, and lastly isha.
