According to the United States constitution, The Second Amendment states that "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Since the right to bear arms is literally embedded in the fibers of the nation, the idea of gun ownership has been an issue of controversy from court cases that deals with gun ownership to NRA and even mass shooting and crimes. Every presidential candidate has an idea, a plan, a fix an answer but at the end of the day, it all seem the same. President Obama came into office with a promise and ever since he has been in office, he has had to give fourteen speeches for fourteen mass shooting and no matter what plan we might seem to come up with, there is always a loophole called the 2nd amendment that hinders any substantial progress from being achieved. Just at the 3rd and last presidential debate of 2016, the prospective presidential candidate Donald Trump boosted of being endorsed by the NRA and the NRA even ran an ad for him …show more content…

Now I don’t know if that is possible but with the whole politics that revolves around guns’ ownership and restrictions, we know with NRA backing up politicians and also paying lobbyist, there would be no significant changes made. We can plan all we want but at the end of the day, the real power to make significant changes that would reduce the amount of death caused by guns lay in the hands of people whom are not willing to make one. If the incidents like Sandy Hooks, San Bernardino or the movie theatre massacre didn’t result to any significant change then nothing else can expect either the total on gun ownership or a hard restriction on not only assault weapon ownership but private ownership which we know would not be accomplished because of the 2nd
