What is our everyday life?
Studying, working, cooking food, caring babies, caring parents, meeting friends…Someone might decide that there is no place for heritage in it and cultural enrichment only has to do with our 2-weeks vacation once a year. But heritage is not static. It is not something available only during travelling. Heritage is all around us: in the receipt of our grandmother’s traditional cookies; in our grandfather’s unusual words, which are disappearing in the modern language; in the way we do gymnastics to avoid health problems in the future…Heritage is not only about gazing, it is about feeling.
It happened that I had found inspiration far away from my home, in the place that for me became “the city of soul”. Istanbul. It seems to be an usual choice but I have discovered in Istanbul an authentic Turkey that has much richer cultural heritage than in the common perception of Turkey as a Mediterranean resort with the all-inclusive system.
Istanbul represents an eclectic mix of tradition and modernity, combining ancient relics from the Ottoman and Roman empires with numerous luxurious skyscrapers, picturesque views from almost every angle with a favorable climate. The gateway between Europe and Asia, the city is a melting point of diverse cultures, unique and special. And above all, Istanbul is a feast for the senses: tastes, smells, noises, mosques, sea, prayer, fascination... All the senses of a human being are involved in feeling Istanbul heritage. I couldn’t be able to find a better city for realization my notion of so-called “experimental tourism”.
While looking for an idea for this assignment, I have checked various touristic products and have realized that the majority of them are based on the gazing conce...

4) 21:00 – 23:00 Mektup Cafe-Bar. It's a famous bar in Istanbul with live music and authentic atmosphere. Listening the music with close eyes is a key not just to listen to it, but to hear it. It’s the best way to end the touristic day.
This is the itinerary in Istanbul. However, it would be not complete without one more service suggested to tourists in the beginning of each tour. They are supposed to have two options on their choice:
• either to have a professional photograther who would make their photos and videos during the whole tour so afterwards they would be able to reproduce all the places of their visit;
• or to have the same itinerary next day but with open eyes.
...troversy as all countries have lost, to a great or lesser extent, treasures of national renown and significance over time. Wars, theft, treasure seeking, changing boundaries and migration have all in some way contributed to this diaspora of art. There is clear evidence that the historic placing of objects in locations remote from their origin has on occasion afforded protection and preservation, The Elgin Marbles in The British Museum being a case in point. However, given the overarching principle of self determination it is difficult to argue that serendipitous historic placement is sufficient reason for items of true national heritage to be kept indefinitely. A world-wide system of touring exhibitions and cultural exchange, with context being provided by the originating society may provide the natural progression to the accessible widening of people’s experiences.
Photographs serve as a record of what we have accomplished, where we have traveled and who was there along the way. A significant mechanism in photography is tourists , to which I
No matter what life brought, I could always drink a glass of wine, smoke a cigarette, and watch the sun set down by the Bosphorus strait. I could go to Nayah to listen to reggae music or Raven to get the world’s best peppermint mojitos. Perhaps I could stop by Peyote where I met a Turkish TV-star and made friends with him. Or I could just wave at my friends from my apartment, located directly in front of Peyote. Perhaps, I could go to the Blue Mosque and listen to the call for prayer from one of the six minarets. Or even
Byzantium, a city built by Greek colonists to Constantinople, the capital of an empire and then Istanbul, Istanbul has seen almost everything. The zenith of civilization to the ruinous city ravaged by war and political chaos; Each time an empire fell; a new one was born from its ruins giving the people another chance at life, and this cycle continued and still continues. This constant struggle brings with it sorrow; sorrow of the loss of loved ones, sorrow of the loss of culture and sorrow of the fall of another empire and hope, hope of a new life, a restart. This feeling is unlike any other, and every citizen of Istanbul, new or old is afflicted by it, no matter which district they belong to, and through Istanbul: Memories and the City, it is evident that the effect of this feeling on Orhan Pamuk is profound, this feeling called Huzun.

Cultural or often we refer to as the culture has its own uniqueness, while others interest by the culture then this could make the place tourism.
The solution of this problem is to improve the infrastructure and apply new strategies to attract more tourists. The government is responsible for this project especially the ministry of tourism as well as the businessman will play an important role by their funds as sponsors for this project. The Turkish has proposed number of strategies with the aim of improving transportation system, restoring historical places. Overall, travel can change the spiritual as well as the physical existence of both visitors and host, therefore urban tourism refers to the consumption of city spectacles and cultural amenities by visitors. Also, it is important to point out that the tourist elements developed by most cities are portraying a product “the city” to promote it for consumers “visitors” in order of stimulating the urban economy.
Nowadays in the rea of globalization, according to the World Tourism Organization, “seven hundred million people travelled abroad in 2003”, and the number is estimated to increase to 1.6 billion by 2020. (International Labour Organization, 2005). Tourism is spreading in unusual places. A lot of people want to be in the midst of adventure. It is a vital source of revenues for the GDP of many countries. I partially agree that tourism hugely benefits the local community. This essay will discuss some of the economic, social and environment effect of tourism on the host community.
Film induced tourism has grown in every aspect around the globe whether its because of the curiosity of the people to indulge in this kind of tourism or just being a part of the artificial world. Then it comes to define film tourism many authors have different views, according to Hudson and Ritch (2006a), it is describe as people visiting places which are directly influenced by films to see the landscapes, building, places as it was shown on TV, advertisement or in cinema screen. In addition to the meaning above for film induced tourism, Riley & Van Doren, (1992) further added that people visiting these places may be overwhelm with the romantic gaze of the place, and feel emotionally attached to it and also with the focal points of the film such as actors and their attributes, where they used to live, themes, social patterns and so on. However this essay will also discuss the originality of film tourism and its implications towards the destination and how it effects the local culture and community.
Japan is a country with countless attraction and points of interest, whether its heritage, food, popular culture or dark tourism, Japan as a tourism destination can offer many things. Because of the saturation of culture there are many types of tourism which apply (Berger 2010). Cultural tourism, adventure, ecotourism, food and family tourism and even sex tourism to name a few and with the increasing relevance of Otaku1 culture in the western world, Japans popularity as a holiday destination has increased drastically. The popularity of Japanese tourism can largely be attributed to the growing cultural interest displayed by the visitors which means that cultural exploration is one of the more significant reasons of visitation.

Istanbul memories and the city is an autobiographic memoir written by a Turkish novelist ferit orhan pamuk and translated by Maureen freely. The memoir tells us about Istanbul, culture and melancholy of pamuk. And this memoir is mostly about Bosphorus and the past of Istanbul and also the home place of orhan pamuk. From the childhood orhan pamuk was attracted towards literature that is why he mentioned many writers and poets names like Yahya Kemal, Ekrem Moçu etc. in his book. He also included his school life adventure and how he found interest in painting. And most of all he tells readers about Bosphorus and how the culture was changing. Bosphorus was fishing village for Greek for centuries but in eighteen century when ottoman worthies began building their summer homes mostly around Goksu Kucuksu Bebek Kandilli Rumelihisari and Kanlica there arose an ottoman culture that looked Istanbul to the exclusive of the rest of the world. River is an important factor for the development of the city. River is the easiest way to provide water in huge amount at any time. Bosphorus was the river which was very deep and wide so the chances of it drying up were very less. In the memoir pamuk wrote many things about Bosphorus and culture. The style of writing is melancholic that means pamuk tells the readers about his feelings and memories. My understanding about the memoir is that people of Istanbul are the reason for getting influenced by the western culture. the another main reason for change in culture is Bosphorus because it is a rich source of unlimited water for the city. For any place to improve faster, river is a very efficient source. At that time steamboats were used for transportation so business starts because of Bosphorus. To expan...
