Charles Manson has gone down in history as one of the worlds most notorious mass murderers of the twentieth century if not of all time. Now less than two weeks after his death many people are revisiting those two horrifying nights in August of 1969. Though Charles Manson is the most well known of the killers as he was the ‘ring leader’ of these crimes it is important to know that he was not the only person involved. These two nights are remembered as the “Manson Murders” but most people don’t even know the first thing about the killers or their victims.
Though there were many notable murder cases throughout the twentieth century one of the most widely remembered was committed Manson and his ‘family’. ...me after being shot and stabbed seven times. Frykowski and Folger almost escaped their killers by quite literally running for their lives, both eventually being killed. Frykowski was shot twice, bludgeoned, and both he and Folger were stabbed over fifty times each. The final victim, Tate, was stabbed repeatedly and had her son literally carved out of her only then to have her blood used to write with. The following night Leno LaBianca was bound, stabbed twenty-six times, had he carotid artery severed and had the word war carved into his stomach with a knife, his wife Rosemary was not much better off receiving forty-one stab wounds. Any one of these murders would have been notable enough on its own but then to have five one night and two more equally savage murders the next it had to have spread so much fear and distrust that no one could possibly know where to turn.
