Moral Reasoning Paper
Equality between men and women has long been debated. From the convention in Seneca
Falls, New York, to the “Take Back the Night” marches across America, the topic of women’s rights has been considered controversial and unethical. Some people argue a women’s place is in the home away from the workplace to take care of children. However women have proven themselves to be more than the typical homemaker. Although women are free to choose all types of careers, there are still stigmas against women in certain jobs. These stigmas go as far as not paying women the same amount of money as a man, even though they could be just as or more qualified as the other individual. ...n unsound practice that takes place every day.
A way to fix this issue is present employers with incentives to pay women higher. It sounds horrible to provide people with incentives to do the right thing, but it is a good way to start raising women’s pay and make it equal to men’s. The advantages of adopting these new ideas is fulfilling the constitution. In contrast, some men do not believe in the feminist movement because of the misconception of what they stand for. There are misconceptions that feminist hate men, and seek to suppress them, but that is not the case. Some anti-feminist argue that feminism seeks to change gender roles and destroy families. Although a way of life cannot be force upon people, it should be taken into consideration that women are equal human beings to men, and they deserve the same opportunities as men, especially in the workplace.
