Disease name
Ebola hemorrhagic fever (Ebola HF)
Four identified subtypes of Ebola: (4)
· Ebola-Zaire, Ebola-Sudan, Ebola-Ivory Coast (cause disease in humans)
· Ebola-Reston (cause disease in non-human primates only)
Means of Transmission
Person-to-person transmission
Direct contact of blood, secretions, semen, vomit, diarrhea (1) or organs of infected person
Sexually transmitted - “Transmission through semen may occur up to 7 weeks after clinical recovery, as with Marburg haemorrhagic fever.” (2)
Direct contact of deceased body at burial ceremonies (3)
Indirect Contact: touching contaminated objects such as needles
Aerosol transmission:
“Not implicated in human outbreaks, although transmission in airborne particles has been documented under research conditions, and in the spread of Ebola-Reston.” (4)
Nosocomial Transmission (transmission within a hospital setting):
Problem in health-care settings where sterilization and barrier nursing procedures are not consistently practiced. (5)
In African health-care facilities, patients are often cared for without the use of a mask, gown, or gloves. (4)
“When needles or syringes are used, they may not be of the disposable type, or may not have been sterilized, but only rinsed before reinsertion into multi-use vials of medicine. If needles or syringes become contaminated with virus and are then reused, numerous people can become infected.” (4)
Contact with Diseased Animal (4)
“The infection of human cases with Ebola virus has been documented through the handling of infected chimpanzees, gorillas, and forest antelopes--both dead and alive--as was documented in Côte d'Ivoire, the Republic of Congo and Gabon. The transmission of the Ebola Reston str...

A title of a book gives you an idea of what that book is about, The Book Thief is no different except that it tells you other things as well. The way the title is presented, it looks like it was painted onto the book. The book thief, Liesel, uses paint as she learns how to read. This is instrumental in the book because without Liesel's love of words there would not be a story. Zusak writes, "The scrawled words of practice stood magnificently on the wall by the stairs, jagged and childlike and sweet. They looked on as both the hidden jew and the girl slept, hand to shoulder"(241). The "painted-on look" of the title connects Max Vandenburg, the hidden Jew, who also used paint (to cover up Hitler's worlds). The narrator describes it, "There were the erased pages of Mein Kampf gagging, suffocating under the paint as they turned" (Zusak 237). Besides the look of the title, the color also suggests another aspect of these characters. The bold white is the color of purity and innocence ("Color White"). A pure Jew who has done nothing to deserve his discrimination and an innocent girl with a love of words shine bright in the book, just as the title stands out on the cover.
The song “The Kill” by 30 Seconds To Mars from their album A Beautiful Lie (2006) corresponds with the overall theme of the story Anthem. When 30 Seconds To Mars sings the following lyrics from their song “The Kill”, it’s components tie in with the theme on finding out who one really is. Just like how Equality 7-2521 found out who he really was as an individual:
The Illuminati was apparently revealed on May 1rst, 1776, in Bulgaria, by Dr. Adam Weishaupt in Masonic Lodges, or Private Lodges. In these Masonic Lodges the Illuminati, full of highly revered politicians, business men and cult leaders would gather to sort out business. Weishaupt was a professor at the Canon Law at Ingolstad...
During the West movement of 1830’s and 1840’s, there were many conflicts that American settlers faced. The first problem settlers had to solve was relations with the Native Americans. As the numbers of American settlers grew, the life of Native Americans was greatly affected. The Native Americans tried to maintain their cultural traditions and the peace with white settlers, but they were often forced to move out of their homeland. Then came the Black Hawk War, which was the Native Americans’ rebellion against the United States in Illinois and Wisconsin Territory. After failure of this rebellion, Native Americans were forced to abandon their lands and move to reservation even with the Fort Laramie Treaty, which promised the pea...
It had previously been the policy of the American government to remove and relocate Indians further and further west as the American population grew, but there was only so much...
The Ebola Virus is an extremely deadly virus found in Africa. There have been multiple outbreaks across Africa and one in the United States. The Ebola virus basically causes uncontrollable bleeding externally and internally. Then your organs become liquefied. This usually results in death(www.encyclopedia.com). The following report contains info on the characteristics and history of the Ebola Virus.
The Ebola Virus Ebola is a virus and part of the negative-stranded RNA family known as filovirus. It was discovered in 1976 in Africa and was named after a river in Zaire. When the virus is looked at under an electron microscope, the filoviridae appear to be long, thin and occasionally they have 'branches' sprouting from one place or another. Ebola can also take the form of a U or a B. There are four known strains of the virus; they are Ebola Sudan, Ebola Zaire, Ebola Reston and Ebola Tai. Ebola Reston only causes disease in monkeys, but the rest of them take approximately 8 hours to duplicate itself.
The Ebola virus was discovered in 1976. It has four strains, each from a different geographic area, but all give their victims the same painful, often lethal symptoms.
In the article review “ How the West was Lost” the author, William T. Hagan explains that in a brief thirty-eight year period between 1848 and 1886, the Indians of the Western United States lost their fight with the United States to keep their lands. While nothing in the article tells us who Hagan is, or when the article was written, his central theme of the article is to inform us of how the Indians lost their lands to the white settlers. I found three main ideas in the article that I feel that Hagan was trying to get across to us. Hagan put these events geographically and chronologically in order first by Plains Indians, then by the Western Indians.
The illuminati are a real group that did exist at some point in history. Despite people not believing that it does exist at this time, the illuminati was a real group in the 18th century, the illuminati is a group created in Bavaria in the 18th century because it was supposedly aiming to limit the interference of the church in public life. This mysterious group supposedly controls everything in this planet from: finance, government, religion, and culture.
Ebola Virus – A Bloody Killer The first doctor I saw told me it was malaria. Only in the special unit at the hospital, I was diagnosed with Ebola. I was isolated from other infected. None of us could sleep – we thought we would not make it to the morning.
When people talk about the Illuminati, they are talking about the most secretive, powerful, wealthiest, influential, sneakiest, manipulated, greediest people on the earth. It was a group formed in Germany 1776 in order to rule the world with their wealth and power (“Illuminati” 1). Recently it has been on everyone’s mind, but why? It is being exposed more and more every day. They are trying to take over our nation. “The infamous Illuminati secret society has remained the focus of so-called ‘conspiracy theorists’ for hundreds of years. They have been called the puppet masters who secretly pull the strings of the world’s events from elections to revolutions, and from business monopolies to stock market crashes” (Dice 1). People are completely oblivious of the Illuminati or chose to not believe this is going on behind closed doors. However, there are some people who do believe and are aware of what they are capable of. The Illuminati is harmfully corrupting our nation through the government, specialty groups, and celebrities.
This paper will mainly focus on finding treatment for Ebola in the United States. My research essay on the treatment of Ebola is very informative. My paper is informative in such ways you will learn about experimental vaccines or drugs that may be given and their effectiveness on the patient. My paper includes information on how the U.S is succeeding or not succeeding with the treatment. In the United States many people fear the spread will not end, but with the hospitals and scientists working together, hand in hand are sure to find a way to stop the outbreak of Ebola.
Cybercrime is a global issue plaguing the world. The dictionary defines cybercrime as “crime conducted via the Internet or some other computer network”(Merriam-Webster). The definition remains very broad because the word “cyber” is defined as “relating to the culture of computers, information technology, and virtual reality.” Due to the growing number of people gaining access to the internet, rapid development of technology, and the globalization of the world, more of the world population is becoming susceptible to involvement in cybercrime – whether it be as a victim or a criminal. Cybercrime involves different levels of the world on both the victim and criminal side from an individual citizen, to small groups, businesses, and the government, to the countries of the world. There are different groups from law enforcement agencies to the U.S. Secret Service, that are attempting to combat the problem through cooperation and preemptive efforts. If these groups combined with the public to protect themselves and the country from criminals that commit cybercrime, the nation’s network and technology servers would be much safer for technology users. Clearly, cybercrime is a problem because it puts internet users at risk of being taken advantage of or harmed.
