Environmental change is a change of the environment most often caused by humans and natural earthly processes. Environmental changes include natural disasters, human interference, or animal interaction. These changes don’t only show physically, but can be things like an infestation of invasive species. Throughout history, the global climate has been changing and associated global warming which is attributed to human civilization. Possible adverse effects released in the environment caused by development, industrial, or infrastructural project and eventually this global climate change will affect the environment, the people, and even the other organisms in many ways. Some of these impacts, like stronger hurricanes and severe heat waves, could …show more content…
These creatures are called area specific. For example in the film “more than honey” the numbers of bees are declining in the universe. The documentary has exploited the various social issues that are responsible for the decline in the number of bees globally. At the point when the biome is divided, the vast patches of living space don’t exist anymore. It gets to be more troublesome for the wildlife to get the assets they need to survive. The flowing is some of the human social behaviors that are responsible for environmental …show more content…
The increase in population is due to decreased mortality rate as a result of the excellent medical facility that increased the life expectancy. The increased population has led to more demand for shelter, clothing, and food. The level of agriculture has gone up by 30 % compared to the previous decade since more space has been using to grow food and provision of shelter to the increasing number of people. For example in the film “more than honey” when a research was conducted, it was found that the countryside has fewer number of bees compared to the urban areas, this is due to increase level of agriculture in the countryside, and therefore the plants that bees feed on were replaced by other plants which led to the decreased number of bees. Similarly, the straining of the natural resources will lead to deforestation that further contributes to environmental
Climate change is temperature increasing over a long period of time. Climate is imoortant to both humans and ecosyestems in order to thrive. One slight change can disrupt an entire ecosystem. Most people recognize that greenhouse gasses such carbon dioxide have been contributing to climate change. Greenhouse gases are part of earth’s many natural processes. Greenhouse gasses are important to keeping the earth at an overall warm temperature. When When sunlight shines down to Earth, it warms the surface but after so much warming, some of the heat goes right back out into the atmosphere. Some of the heat hits the greenhouse gases. When this happens, the molecules become excited and release even more heat. The issue of climate change has been
The environment has seen and dealt with numerous changes in our society over the years. The environment has suffered through one of the most monumental but extremely damaging times in our history, the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial Revolution was the transition to new manufacturing processes in the period from about 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840. The world saw a major increase in population during that period, which led to the depletion of natural resources. The use of chemicals and fuel in factories resulted in increased air and water pollution and an increased use of fossil fuels. The industrial revolution caused a huge environmental problem that has surfaced in the last couple of decades, climate change. (Gillaspy, 2017). Climate change occurs due to rise in global warming which occurs due to
The dictionary defines climate change as a change in global or local climate patterns such as heat and precipitation. The trees that provide oxygen, the water that keeps us hydrated and the animals along with plants that gives us food grant Earth with features that make it adequate to live in. Global warming, as stated in the name, occurs when Earth 's atmosphere starts getting warmer. Global Warming has become a problem throughout the world that will need to be addressed over the coming years because it affects animals, sea level and landscapes around the world.
There are so many factors in today’s growing population and its action that contributes to the environment. With the rise in population there is also increase in the needs and demands resulting in more production of food and assets. Most of the actions of human lead to increased environment risks which in return will only effect the livings of this planet. Currently mostly all individuals have at least one form of vehicle for transportation. There is increased industrialization and requires a lot of energy which comes from fossil fuels as the need for oil increases to fuel large amounts of humans daily work and chores. The climate change is no mystery, it is known to be cause of various human actions trying to satisfy their needs while putting
Scientists and environmentalists started talking about global warming and the dangers of climate change long time ago but it is now when the consequences of these effects began to manifest themselves in a clearer and even worrisome manner. The temperatures on Earth are rising, the sea level is rising, the amounts of CO2 and ozone in the atmosphere are increasing, the amount and timing of precipitation is changing. All of these issues show tendency to worsen in the future, though it is hard to predict exactly by how much or at what rate they will unfold. One thing is clear – climate change has an impact on almost every area of our life and it deserves our attention and timely response.
Environmental climate change, “a long-term change in the earth's climate, especially a change due toan increase in the average atmospheric temperature,” can be directly linked human causation ("Climate Change," 2017). A jaw-dropping 51 percent of all global greenhouse gas emissions are a direct result of animal agriculture (Peta, 2017). The importance of global warming is not to be underestimated. Trees are blooming sooner than in the past causing their buds to die in a late winter freeze, glaciers are shrinking, and ice is breaking up on bodies of water or not forming at all. In the past scientists have predicted the loss of sea ice and more intense heat waves which are all occurring today. Scientists are certain that global temperatures will continue to increase. ("The Consequences," 2017). Subsequently, gas emissions have major effects on the planet and can be linked directly to animal
There is a lot going with Earth, it is constantly changing through climate change. Climate change is a global or regional change in climate patterns. It consists of changes in temperature, precipitation, humidity, winds, and seasons. The climate plays a fundamental role in shaping the economy, cultures, and Earth’s ecosystem. The climate is taking a hit due to global warming. Global warming is a bundle of carbon dioxide, water vapor, and methane that builds up heat in the atmosphere. As years gone by, global warming gradually began heating the Earth 's surface, ocean, and atmosphere. Although global warming is a problem not taken seriously or being known, people should be aware of the affects of global warming, how it is seen affecting the
Climate change, is a change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns when that change lasts for an extended period of time. These times can be anywhere from decades to millions of years. The Earth’s climate has constantly been changing throughout history. Climate change can be dated back to over 650,000 years ago. Most of the changes that happened before 7,000 years ago happened because of small variations in Earth’s orbit that change the amount of solar energy the earth planet receives. Even though climate change is natural, people are speeding up the process at which it occurs by polluting. Climate change has many impacts all over the world and its effects are evident. People can still slow down the process at which climate change
Climate change can devastate the environment. Now sea levels are rising and the waters are becoming much warmer than usual. Longer and much stronger droughts cause severe changes to the climate. This threatens crops,
The effects of climate are felt throughout the world, all living things are affected with it. The effects of climate change are affecting directly the human life. It has been noticed that around the globe, seasons are shifting, temperatures are climbing and sea levels are rising. The world compares to century ago, it has changed drastically and it is becoming worse with climate change. Climate change will rapidly alter the lands and waters which we all depends upon for survival which will leave our children thus the future generation with a different world. In the time to come if not much is done for the case of climate change, There will be shortage of food and drinks, many new illnesses and diseases and some part of the world will become in appropriate for living things to live due to natural disaster. It can be that with the rapid Global warming and climate change, one-fourth of Earth’s species could be headed for extinction by the year 2050.
Climate change refers to the long term change in weather patterns. The changes in weather patterns could last from a period of a few decades to millenniums (Field). The average weather conditions may be altered as a sign of climate change. The variations in terms of weather conditions and time may also result into an increase in the number of extreme weather conditions, while also reducing the number of favorable weather seasons. Climate change is caused by a myriad of factors. Among them includes plate tectonics, biotic processes, volcanic eruptions and the variations of radiation that reaches earth (Bulkeley et al.). There have also been reported cases of human contribution to the rate and condition of global warming as it is seen to take place today. Pollution activities have been majorly noted as the primary causes of global warming. Destruction of the natural environment through activities such as the rapid deforestation activities and pollution of the atmospheric space have greatly
Climate change has become of the world’s major issue today. The earth’s climate is always changing in a very fast and also in different ways. Climate changes affect our lives psychologically, emotional and also physically. Climate change is defined as a long term change in the earth’s climate, especially a change due to the increase in the average atmospheric temperatures. Due to this change in temperature, a lot of changes has occurred in our environment, these changes include rising sea levels, flooding, melting of polar ice caps, hotter days, colder nights and heat waves. These climate changes plays an important role in shaping our natural ecosystem, our human economics and also the most important, it affects the human race. For
According to the internet human behavior has a very big affect on the environment. Environmental settings such as air pollution, oceans, energy, or noise are all sources that can negatively impact the environmental quality and conditions. Our daily routines have a huge impact on the environment and we do not realize it. New laws that are passing and educating people will help a lot. People are being educated on how to use less water, use our cars less, how to use less energy, and even taking reusable bags when going grocery shopping because plastic bags are very bad for the environment. There are simple solutions that can help in getting started with these efforts. Every little step and effort we make in our daily routines count.
Climate Change is any substantial change in climate that lasts for an extended period of time. One contributor to current climate change is global warming, which is an increase in Earth’s average temperature. Plants and animal species throughout the world are being affected by rising temperatures. Many plants are flowering earlier now than they once did; animals, such as the yellowbellied marmot, are emerging from hibernation earlier; and many bird and butterfly species are migrating north and breeding earlier in the spring than they did a few decades ago, all because of slight changes in temperature cues. (Shuster)
An environmental effect of global warming is the fact that higher temperatures will lead to
