When it comes to air travel, passengers usually prepare themselves for the same old concept-recycled air, no leg room or living space, crying children and the poor quality/selection of the inflight entertainment system (IFE). It just seems like airlines don’t want to invest in their products to improve and keep their passengers keen and engaged.
Thus, many airlines started to change and re-design their cabins to enhance passengers experience by adding new features. It started from a simple yet effective change of cabin look-colour/shade, to new interior such as spaceflex and re-arrangement of the galley, followed by installation of the mood lighting system and other perks such as: in-seat power supply. Airline have heavily invested in their IFE system, and re-design the whole cabin by adding 12 extra seats instead of 30 – as their capacity allowed them to do so, even though 12 seats reduced the leg room by 2 inches for every passenger. However, JetBlue reassured their customers that it will not affect the pitch as it will stabilise at a generous 34 inches and if traveler wants more leg room they can upgrade to ‘more-space’ seating ranging at 38-39 inches in comparison to other airlines that offer only a tiny 30-32 inches on a long-haul flight. JetBlue offers the most legroom in coach based on average fleet-wide seat pitch for U.S. airlines.
