Energy: The Animation of the World

Have you noticed that things move without you doing much? These actions are kind of like the animations in a video game. When you think of an “animation”, you tend to think about parts moving as a whole. Energy is the way we power everything and in a way it “animates” the world. The variety of energy enables us to do a diverse range of actions with it. They provide fuel to many things we use thru out the day. Agencies have been trying to discover ways to produce energy in the least way possible to cause damages to anything. We are not going to have fossil fuels forever to burn and produce energy. We need something that we can rely more on. That is why we have more than one type of energy source available for use.
We can get energy from an atom splitting, energy produced from fossils, to energy provided by the sun and wind. A common source of energy that is quickly becoming more prominent is nuclear energy. Nuclear energy is a non-renewable resource which means it cannot be replenished by natural means at the same rate that is is consumed. Nuclear energy is produced by fission, the progress of splitting the nuclei of atoms, which is all part of a controlled nuclear reaction. They use uranium as fuel thru a process of fission to produce electricity. The heat produced is used to turn water to steam. The steam turns various turbines which turn the generator and produce electrical power. The reason we benefit from this energy source is that we do not burn anything unlike plants that burn coal, oil, and natural gas. According to the International Energy Agency, “The fusion reaction is about four million times more energetic than a chemical reaction such as the burning of coal, oil or gas.” Nuclear...
