The 21st century marks the beginning of a technologically advanced epoch. Scientists usher humans to a new era of information. However, how does technology works? The answer is energy. Energy is the important element to run machines. If there is no energy in the world, civilization will not develop successfully. The importance of energy to a person is that energy can make our life more efficient and resilient while the importance of energy to society is that it can improve people’s living standard and quality of life, promote industrialization, speed up a development of new industries and enhance advanced invention of new technologies. Therefore, nowadays, our life cannot live without energy. The energy crisis problem is getting worse in China. China’s coal stockpile has plunged to its lowest level in 20 years. Meanwhile, facing a power squeeze and energy crisis, China’s government has raised electricity prices by 5% while cutting the power in order to save energy as China grapples with soaring electricity demand (Lim). The energy crisis is the hottest issue which everyone is worried about in China. Immature technology development and imbalance distribution of resources in China has led to the energy crisis. Moreover, the energy crisis will cause many effects that influence the citizen in China or even the whole world. Become a political problem, the decrease of the economic growth and the poverty are the three main causes. People always say that China has abundant energy resources in their region, and many types of metallic and nonmetallic mineral resources. There are more than 20 kinds of mineral resources account for 50% or more of the total in China (China Mining Association (CMA)).
