There are times that you shouldn 't be persistent. For instance, when that guy or girl clearly doesn 't like you and has told you no two or three times when you ask them out, then it 's time to give up and move on. If you are too persistent in that case, you could get slapped with a restraining order! But, in most cases, persistence is something that can pay off for you in your career, health, relationships, and happiness. Before you go off committing to everything in your life, you need to know a few things about being persistent that will help you make the most out of your determination.

How can you be a more laid back person?
- Find the humor in everything. When you can see the humor, you are more likely to laugh things off instead of feeling angry or hurt.
- Become more playful. When you are playful, you approach everything in life with a playful attitude rather than a serious and 'adult ' attitude. This can help you be more at ease when things go wrong.
- Be joyful in everything you do. Find delight in every activity and the very fact that you are experiencing things in life, both good and bad. If you can find joy in the simple fact that you are alive, then your tension will melt away and life will become much more

Instead, practice being grateful for where you are today and how you can make a difference. One must value themselves and comprehend that they have meaning in the world, that’s when happiness will arise. When faced with a crisis people often need to be heard. “You need to relax.” This phrase is one that most individuals hear weekly, and sometimes daily. It is hard to deal with situations that put a mental strain on the body, such as problems in a relationship, at work, or at home. In order to try and adapt to the situation, the body goes into panic mode. If the emotions that are associated with these occurrences remain constant, they can begin to impact physical health as well as mental health. Some people can be caught up in life’s problems and forget to laugh. Laughter is the mental medicine for life. Laughter supports the health of the body. Laughter can break up the quietness in a room. Laughter can change the room from black and white to a rainbow of colors. Laughter is a result of looking at something in a positive light. Is the glass half empty or half full? Whatever the circumstance, never underestimate the power of a good giggle. Never forget to laugh.
So let’s go over a few more. Spending more time with friends and family is important, but only the happy ones because their happiness will affect yours. Learn to love yourself and appreciate what you have. You may not have the nicest things or be the prettiest person but God decided he needed one of you. The things you may not have now you have the ability to work for. Learn and love your strengths because you were given them for a reason. Value them and be sure to put them to good use. Don’t hold grudges; they do nothing but take your happiness away when you see that person. Have you ever heard the saying, “fool me once shame on you, but fool me twice shame on me?” Think about that when forgiving people for their mistakes because nobody is perfect. Make sure to forgive him/her just don’t forget what they did, and be sure to make sure it doesn’t happen again (Bradberry). You can also try just smiling. When you smile it doesn’t just show you are happy it will also cause people to smile back at you which might just make your day a little better. Keep a journal. Writing down your feelings, and getting them out will help you get them off your mind, releasing stress, helping you feel better about things. Emotions and feelings are some of the driving forces in our lives and essentially control our reactions, ideas, and choices. Emotions allow us to form connections with others, make decisions about the world around us, and provide us with the motivation to accomplish various tasks. However, emotions generally come with a lot of confusion and variability due to how differently people utilize and deal with them. One common emotion I feel that all people deal with, and handle differently is anxiety. Anxiety can be an extreme motivator, or the complete opposite, depending on how a person reacts to the feeling.
