The nation is in the grips of an employment deficit that has crippled the overall growth of the economy. While the effects of the Great Recession are starting to balance out, he overall job creation are still not where they need to be. Businesses, both small and big alike, have taken massive losses that resulted in several loss of jobs and workers who have saturated the unemployment lines from coast to coast. Highly skilled and qualified workers with several years of schooling and job training are having difficulty searching and attaining a well paying job. The amount of unemployed workers has steadily increased with only a fraction of the job growth being reported. It is not a wonder why the level of quality of workers is decreasing. Many of todays policies are left for long periods of time without appropriate checks and balances all the while money is continuing to be wasted.
Competitive production that has declined since the job market started shipping many jobs across seas to countries like India, Indonesia and China. The reason for the increased push to move jobs out of the continental United States is due to the lower cost and pay it takes to maintain the establishment and workforce outside of the United States.

Though these reasons are not all inclusive, each issue does pose a significant problem that needs to be addressed correctly. Looking from the other side of the issue however, there are moments where policies have helped and stabilized the unemployment and economy to tolerable levels.
Policies that are sustainable need to be reviewed and refined for further implementation while policies that cannot meet the criteria need to be reviewed, amended or rescinded. For example, if the average minimum age is $8.50 entry level, after a set time and marketable training, those wages can increase while promoting greater hours to seasoned workers. The initial implementation of such a program would have to be done in manner that would appease both the government and company so neither area would go in debt for spreading themselves too thin both in incentives and company productivity.
