Insouciantly, many of us browse social media outlets looking through pictures, events, updates and posts our friends and families have made. Little do we know our brain is processing all this information most times than not negatively. Some of us might feel it, ours might not, but as humans we subconsciously compare ourselves to what we see, especially to people we know like our friends. On social media, most of us are bombarded with our friends’ newest car, newest job, greatest vacation, best college and university acceptances and much more. When we start comparing ourselves with others on social media it presents many dangers because people do not present their real selves online.
