“To me, as a physician, when 1.78 million of our high school kids have tried an e-cigarette, and a lot of them are using them regularly … that’s like watching someone harm hundreds of thousands of children.” by Tom Frieden. This quote grabs my attention because it associates with electronic cigarettes that are targeting teenagers as a consumer to get big profits for their company to keep going on business. Some teens nowadays are using e-cigarettes as a daily routine in their life. Teenagers are easily drawn to a material or movement that is trending worldwide. Teens usually would buy the new thing that comes out to the market that is popular. Teens lungs are fragile to e-cigarettes because it exposes tar and pollution to their lungs and at a young age and it can cause health problem in the future. I have seen personally teenagers smoking an e-cigarette where they produce a big amount of smoke that looks like a chimney formed that smoke. It affects to me because we need to protect our teenagers from e-cigarettes because if not they might get addicted to it because of the nicotine that contains in e-cigarettes and would might start to smoke other products such as regular cigarettes that have tobacco or marijuana. Teens today should be aware about the dangerous products that are coming out that are trying to get their attention, to get them to try it and be addicted to it. This is important to me because teenager is the future of the world, if teenagers start to smoke e-cigarettes at an early age it is more likely that they would start to smoke regular cigarettes or other products, so we must apply regulations to e-cigarettes to get them away from our teenagers.

...tablished cigarette smokers, they may simultaneously contribute to the development of a new population of cigarette smokers” (Khan).
This quote provides support because teenagers who start using e-cigarettes are putting in risk their future because they are expected to smoke regular cigarettes in the future. Teenagers should not start using e-cigarettes because it leaves them to nicotine addiction if they do not use other flavors in their cartridge. This show that e-cigarettes are dangerous to teenagers because once e-cigarette is in their hand they become addicted to it and change from e-cigarettes to tobacco cigarettes. This will create a new generation of addicted smokers and will put in risk their health. E-cigarette must be put in regulation because teenagers are the future of the world and we would want them to be healthy to work in their professional careers.
