Wolverine was awoken by the sound of birds singing and the groan of an ancient cart going down the dirt road. He slowly crawled out of bed and went out to fix himself a steaming cup of coffee. He threw himself on the couch in front of his TV. The morning news was on and the news anchor was babbling about a courthouse being destroyed during the night . According to residents who lived in the area, a gigantic robotic man was seen laughing as the courthouse fell. The local Japanese Police were still baffled. As the cameraman zoomed in on the ruins of the building Wolverine saw all the metal was attracted to a single pile. He immediately knew this damaged could only be done by no other than Magneto, his enemy. Wolverine had hardly any doubt that Magneto was trying to conquer the world again.
Wolverine began to immediately pack his suitcase with items that a ordinary traveler have with them. He then went to his garage and opened the garage door. Wolverine jumped into his Toyota Tundra. He quickly backed the car out and roared down the the one lane dirt road. Heads popped out of windows as he drove by. A farmer that was bringing his rice to town pulled his oxen and cart into the ditch to avoid being ran over. Wolverine had no doubt that the Tokyo Tower was Magnetos next destruction site. An hour later Wolverine entered the outskirts of Tokyo. Although when he entered the busy streets he pulled his truck into a garage that was close by. He knew that driving his car through the busy streets would only slow him down. Wolverine exited his truck with his suitcase. He ran down the streets and and entered an alley which led him closer to the Tokyo Tower.

That night a group of people were walking on a beach not far from the Tokyo Tower. When they looked out towards the ocean they saw a figure coming out of the water. The light from the moon shined off the body of the figure. The people thinking it was a ghost screamed and fled the area. The “ghost” clambered onto the beach. The “ghost” the people saw was the one and only Magneto. As he walked towards the city he mumbled, “They will pay for what they have done.” Meanwhile Wolverine was watching the midnight news. No reports had been given on a person who had the form of metallic man . A sigh of relief escaped Wolverine. He knew he would sleep well tonight.

Alan Moore successfully breaks down the effectiveness of superheroes portrayed in your average comic book with his use of Dr.Manhattan:Super-powers and the superpowers inside his graphic novel Watchmen. Dr.Manhattan is made out to be less than divine. The American’s “placing our superhuman benefactor in the position of a walking nuclear deterrent”(Dr.Manhattan:Super-powers and the superpowers.II), depicting him as the Vitruvian Man and having a God present among mere mortals all lead to Moore being able to break down the common conceptions about superheroes.
In his essay “Superman and Me”, Sherman Alexie details how he rose above the limits placed upon him because of his ethnicity. Alexie begins the essay by opening up to his audience and recounting how he taught himself to read by using a Superman comic book. Alexie’s family was living paycheck to paycheck, so he began reading anything and everything that he could get his hands on. The purpose of Alexie’s “Superman and Me” is to inform the audience of how one does not need to be affluent to learn. With pathos, repetition, and elaborate metaphors, Sherman Alexie evokes a change of mind from his audience.
(the sudden collapse of a national landmark, the Bridge of San Luis Rey) which five people were crossing at the time of the disaster. All five were killed instantly: a little boy, a young girl, a wealthy old woman, an old man, and a youth. Brother Juniper is shocked into a metaphysical thought: “If there were any pattern in the universe at all, any plan in a human life, surely it could be discovered mysteriously latent in those lives so suddenly cut off. Either we live by accident and die by accident, or we live by plan and die by plan. And in that instant Brother Juniper made the resolve to inquire into the secret lives of those five persons, that moment falling through the air, and to surprise the reason of their taking off” (Wilder, 5).

An essay “Man and Superman: In athletic competitions, what qualifies as a sporting chance?” by Malcolm Gladwell is attempted to answer an issue “Do genetic advantages make sports unfair?” The essay contains two arguments: human biological diversity makes sports unfair, and, consequently, as human attempts to equalise all the players as considered a moral obligation, the sports industry has no problem with athletes’ self-transformation while doping athletes is prohibited which, in his opinion, they should be justified just like those self-transformations. Gladwell also criticises the sports industry who is actually a culprit of this fairness, they try to level the playing by measuring that no one has an advantage over others but the consequence is a catalyst of science intervention.

...e Incredible Hulk" look like, well, comic books. The question of whether a true hero is a due-process man like Harvey Dent or a "dark knight" who breaks the rules and gets innocent people killed is worried at throughout the film, building to a climax that forces us to confront exactly what murdering someone might do to the average man's soul.
The ultimate test of a good sequel is its ability to stand alone. X2: X-Men United passes this test with flying colors. Though the story line follows the classic good versus evil paradigm, it is not dependent on the original X-Men movie to tell its story. X2’s plotline twists keep the viewer wondering about the loyalties of characters that appear at one moment to switch to the good side, and then just as easily revert to their roles as bad guys. Requiring the viewer to ask, “How do we know who we can trust?”
Whether you call him Kal-El, Clark Joseph Kent or the Man of Steel, fans and non-alike know him the world over as Superman. Recently, this iconoclastic character was reintroduced to a new generation with the film Man of Steel and so began for some a look back to another era where a bold new dawn of superhero action movies was born with Superman The Movie. An inevitable debate ensued about whether a modern, technologically advanced and possibly more faithful adaptation could outshine the original, with all its nostalgia, including an inimitable portrayal of Superman given by the late Christopher Reeve. My aim is to find out whether I still believe a man can truly fly or if he is just simply wearing a costume.
“I'm Wolverine. I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best isn't very nice,” is a significant quote recited by the remarkable superhero, Wolverine. Before becoming the death- defying Wolverine, the man behind him was actually a mutated figure, allowing him to have surreal potential within him. Wolverine is definitely the optimal superhero to exist, for he has an accelerating healing factor, razor sharp adamantium claws and a gutsy personality leaving those who witnessed him in a state of shock. Wolverine has the capability to easily regenerate his damaged body tissues. He is unlike any other average human in the world considering he has bones created from a special substance known as adamantium in the world of Marvel. Not to mention, Wolverine or James Howlett, is a Canadian born in Alberta, Canada. During the day James is recognized as Logan, an alias name he desired after withdrawing himself from the Weapon X Program. However, when trouble is lurking, James suits up into the renowned Wolverine to fight crime and bring justice to the people. After completing a well sought for task, Wolverine is greatly praised by citizens for his immense aura of honour and dignity.
Superheros and super villain. Are they good or are they bad? Are they monsters? Superheroes and supervillains mirror each other. There’s good in one and evil in the other. Like the superhero represents virtue and values of a culture the supervillain does the complete opposite. Supervillains have the power the bring the normal activities of a society to a halt and force the superhero to take action. There are five types of supervillains, the monster, the enemy commander, the mad scientists, the criminal mastermind, and the inverted superhero supervillian. All of these forms except the inverted superhero supervillian predates the superhero.
