The sun was glittering on the sidewalk as Jeremy ducked his head under his hat while a policeman passed by, walking briskly. He slowed down, surveying Jeremy’s friends then locking eyes with Jeremy. Yes, they looked like they were up to no good. Rachel’s multi-colored hair and piercings were a giveaway; plus Twitch was always twitching, so the cops always thought he was on drugs. Maybe he was, Jeremy wouldn’t know. He didn’t hang out with these people to get high or anything; he had a bad stint in middle school and didn’t want a repeat. Rachel and Twitch were accepting of him, and that’s what he liked. Going to a big-shot university didn't help in the friend department, until he first found Twitch (aka Timothy). The cop was already down the street, but Jeremy observed a cop car pulling up to the curb in front of Ben & Jerry’s. Rachel suddenly stretched like a bemused cat from her sitting position, prepared for the ‘no loitering’ talk. Instead, a hefty policeman stepped out, relieving the stress on the car’s tires and hurrying into the ice cream shop without a glance at either at them. With a sigh of relief and a chuckle from Rachel, the group gathered their backpacks, boards and skated off into the direction of UC Berkeley. The sun was on its slow descent downward and there wasn’t much to do at night, it was a Wednesday. Entering the stone and steel co-ed dorms together, Rachel waved a hasty goodbye, muttering something along the lines of “I need to pee”. Jeremy and Twitchy shrugged at each other and made their way to their shared dorm. As they shuffled down the hall in comfortable silence, Jeremy flashed back to when he and Twitch first met. It was his first day on the job, and he had just battled his way through a tear-staine... ... middle of paper ... ...sor has called his name. “Mr. Moore. Mr. Moore! Will you please pay attention!” Professor Walden exasperates. “Sorry. What was the question?” “If a person has delusional parasitosis, what is the recommended treatment?” “The primary treatment is much like those for delusional disorders and schizophrenia. In the past, pimozide, also used in treating tourrett syndrome, was the drug of choice when selecting from the typical antipsychotics. Currently, a typical antipsychotics such as olanzapine or risperidone are used as first line treatment,” Jeremy recites directly from the textbook. His photographic memory helped in situations such as these. “Correct...But Mr. Moore, please remember that listening to my lectures will be beneficial, because a photographic memory should not be the determinant of your grade in this class.” With a huff, Walden continued his lecture.

Torey always wondered how and where Sheila was, so just before her 14th birthday, Torey located Sheila and went to see her. She was living in a small house with her father who had supposedly gave up alcohol and drugs. Their reunion was akward for both of them and not quite what Torey had been expecting. Torey had been assuming that Sheila would be just like she had left her seven years ago. However, instead she had wild clothing and blazing yellow straggly hair. After the first visit, Torey made frequent visits to see Sheila in hopes that they could rebuild their friendship. They went to the movies, shopping, out to dinner, and many other things like that. When summer began, Torey asked her if she'd like to help out in a summer school program with herself, her friend Jeff, and a teaching aide, Miriam. This worked out well. She was able to work with children with many various disabilities. She befriended a young boy who had been adopted from Columbia. He didn't talk and was...
As Monday morning rolled along, Molly gathered all her stuff at the door and yelled for her parents to hurry or she’d be late to catch the bus at school. With all her things stacked in the trunk of the car, her dad could hardly see past her purple suitcase in the rearview mirror, yet that didn't stop him from driving. When Molly and her family pulled up to the parking lot, it was packed with other seniors and their families, they had to park at the back near the entrance gate which was farther away from the bus she needed to go
His geometry teacher Mr. P told him he had potential and that he should get off the Rez and go to college. Junior decided to move from Wellpinit to Reardan an all white school. Junior got into a fight with Rowdy because he was leaving but he went anyway. Since Junior’s been at Reardan he has made some friends who have supported him. With giving rides from school and dealing with death of family. “Reardan is the opposite of the Rez” (Alexie 56) What Junior means by that is that people on the Rez don’t go to college or get well paying jobs. Junior made the decision to go to Reardan and become something, hopefully graduate and go to college. Rowdy and Junior mean a lot to each other, and when Junior moved it broke Rowdy’s heart, he actually cried. This is one of their biggest memories of them together. Rowdy and Junior will never stop being
It wasn't a typical Friday for Josh, the curly haired sophomore. He was just finishing shoving his backpack in his locker when his friend, Taylor, came up to him and said their goodbyes. As the principal told all the students to go outside for announcements over the intercom, Josh left through the back door to be alone instead. He did not tend to have good friends and if he did, they didn't stick with him very long.
There I stayed for the remaining 20 minutes which managed to feel like hours. Finally, we pulled into the front of the school. Any relief in exiting The Bus left me quickly as I gazed upon Royalton High School once again. I had visited the institution over the last three years for my brothers’ wrestling matches, so it was vaguely familiar. After attending Open House the week prior, I became hesitant to approach since last time I had been assaulted by a large group of chatty girls. Only two people names were known to me in this large abyss of hormones, but I’d never meet either of

Turning on my heel, I headed into the main sitting room to find a horrendous site. Andrew, Courtney, Jane, Spinner, and a few of their other friends sat around on the luxury couches and arm chairs. I was still pissed at Andrew ever since our blowout about kissing him and him not paying me enough attention. My mouth flattened into a line as I gracefully collapsed onto one of the armchairs. "What the hell are you doing here?" I growled, locking eyes with my twin. "Mom suggested that we should come and visit while we're in New York. Look Samantha , I-" he attempted, but I cut him off with a sharp glare. "Talk to someone who cares Andrew", I growled, checking my messages. "Samantha he just wants-" Courtney started, but was interrupted by another voice. I turned my head and saw my little sister standing in the door way.
“Be back before 8 Riles. You know how angry your dad gets”. “Okay mom no worries”,I said as walk out the door and hop onto my bike. I stopped in front of jakes house to pick him up. We’re going to take a hike in the forest. “Hey Riley, did you get the water and the sandwiches”, Jake shouted in a jubilant tone. “Yea. Go get your bike, i only have like two hours before my curfew is over”, i reply. Jake ran to the backyard and got his bike from the garage. The Rouge watershed trail closes late today so we got plenty of time. Me and Jake drive our bikes for about 7 minutes and then take a stop. “Lets lock our bikes at the bike rack and walk from there; it’s only a quarter mile away”, jake says. “Let's do that after we take a short break. All that
There they are, cooling at the courts. The whole ‘clique’ is there, they ain’t repping/banging yet, they are here still just good friends and mind their own thing. “Eyo, Trev'. Why did you move to Los Santos?”, asks one of the group – Luke. Trevor’s facial expression slowly changes, he is pushing his eyebrows together as he lets out a silent sigh, and speaks. Trevor tells everything...
We were walking on the outskirts of summer lake, summer lake is a very friendly open area place. Sydney and I, the only one not wearing shoes, because shoes are for the weak. It was two in the morning and we were all wide awake so why not walk? “ My feet are killing me, we have been walking forever,” Ashley complained. “ Ash, you’re always complaining shut up already.” Kylie scoffed back at her. “ Both of you shut up were lost, anyone got phone service?” Alia said sounding very tired. “ Nope,” Ash, Syd, & Ky replied in unison. “ You're all lucky I do,” I sighed.Just as I said that the streets started to sound louder. Screeching noise of worn of tires against the road. Hearing all this we all became very aware of our surroundings. The maroon color was so dark you could barely see the car slowly

They all knew they couldn't talk about guys or girls, because they would just be rejected from group conversations for the rest of the year. Her group of friends were a weird bunch when it came to dating and relationships. They weren’t the type of friends that would give advice. All they cared about was what lies ahead for each other, so they can make the best out of life. Everyday was a different story. The school tardy bell blared on Wednesday as Michelle rushed to class. She wore a baggy pink v-neck shirt and black skinny jeans with white converse which match her caramel skin tone and brown-black eyes. She sprinted to her seat as quickly as she could so her teacher wouldn’t notice she was late. She pulled out her phone from her back pocket and laid it on her desk. A notification popped onto the lock screen. It was a text from the group. The message read, “lunch?” and another that respond, “Meet me in front of the nurses.” She unlocked her Android and typed out, “I’ll bring Kevin.” Kevin had became a part of the group of friends that she can’t live without. She plopped her phone back into her back pocket. It was 5 minutes until lunch
