Children Should Be Educated
Education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world. Educating is when someone is train or instructed to improve their mind or character. Additionally education is essential for every one in which we can enlarge our knowledge over the world. Children have the right to be educated, educating children give them opportunity to have better future and also educating children help to reduce crimes. Therefore for this reasons I agree that children should be educated to benefit themselves, families and nation as a whole. This argumentative essay will discuss three points state above on why children should be educated.
Every child has the right to an effective education program. Education transforms lives and breaks the cycle of poverty that traps so many children (Havighurst& Levine, 1986). Moreover the government must provide free education in primary level. Additionally parents should respect the rights of children by providing them with available resources for them to feel comfortable for attending school. For example the Fiji governmen...
...use education as the vehicle through which people are empowered to improve their quality of life. We need to show the farmers and the society examples of the potential of their children and that this potential is being wasted when they are forced to work and are unable to go to school. Society also has to be sensitized to report cases of child labor exploitation and furthermore we need to make sure that children know their rights, in order to know when these rights are violated.
To accentuate the point, it is must be said that the most crucial fact of all is that since we are modern nation, we must thoroughly educate our students because school enhances the self-actualization process that begins at home. This is because not only do students gain scholastic knowledge while engaged in the educational system, but also gain behavioral norms that aid them in future
You’re out of high school finally, what’s next? The most common answer would be “college”, but why are you saying that? Are you saying it to please your parents, or you just want to get away from your hometown for a while. Then they are people that don’t go to college and think that having just a high school diploma is ok and working at McDonalds they whole life is good. Some people think education is important because they can make money and have a better job than someone with a high school degree. I don’t think like that. My reasons why I thought that education was important was because I want to broaden my mind, become more than a stereotype, and have a better chance of being successful.
Diversity has become a critical part of the philosophy I have developed as an aspiring educator. Through various experiences in my life, I can appreciate how different cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds can positively impact the educational experience of each student. Diversity in my opinion incorporates poverty, race, and equality for the ultimate goal of long term success in a student’s life.
Education is a basic human right. Like all human rights, it is universal and inalienable—everyone, regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity or economic status, is entitled to it. Yet according to UNICEF, in 2006, 93 million children were not in school. Almost 80 percent of these children lived in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. For too many children, the basic human right to education is an idea that has not become reality. Education in Third World countries today is an effort that has gone somewhat unnoticed. UNICEF has been working on restoring the priority of a beneficial education in the lives of children all around the
“Every person has the right to education; the state has the duty to take special measures to facilitate the education of the disadvantaged” Article 40, (Republic of Rwanda, 2003a. p 72).
A dusty, one-room schoolhouse on the edge of a village. An overworked teacher trying to manage a room full of boisterous children. Students sharing schoolbooks that are in perpetual short supply, crammed in rows of battered desks. Children worn out after long treks to school, stomachs rumbling with hunger. Others who vanish for weeks on end, helping their parents with the year-end harvest. Still others who never come back, lacking the money to pay for school uniforms and school supplies. Such is the daily dilemma faced by many young people in the developing world as they seek to obtain that most precious of all commodities, an education.
According to the goal, the UN intends to make sure that there is equitable and inclusive quality education for all. However, the UN has noted that there are hindrances to this being achieved. First, there is a shortage of trained teachers in most places. It has been discovered that in most places, there is an inadequate number of teachers and for those who are there, most of them are not trained. Because of this situation, the children are not able to learn the basics such as language and math skills. The United Nations has estimated that about 2 million additional tutors are needed to acquire the common primary education by the year 2020. In addition, there is aneed for an additional 4.5 million extra teachers to acquire the universal lower secondary education by the year 2030 (Fukuda-Parr& Lopes 48). The aspect of poverty also has an impact on quality education. Since some of the families are poor, education has remained a costly affair, and the children are compelled to remain at home. In places such as in Africa, much as education is notionally free, parents will still pay for some ‘necessary items’ such as extra lessons, uniforms, stationery and infrastructure
Free education allows everyone to study but with low intensity or levels of education. For example, governments with low incomes would not have enough money to employ professional teachers or provide students with all the technological equipment necessary in their studies; it is too expensive. In addition, with free education, the number of students will be impressive. It is important to emphasize that education is not the only responsibility that governments have. They also economically support other public institutions. According to OECD (2008), the major challenge for countries is to secure sufficient funding levels to enable tertiary education institutions to meet the growing expectations of society and respond to the growing demand by students. However, education without cost allows people the same rights and opportunities necessary to the development of an educated society with moral and ethical
Many people often ask themselves;why is education so important in our day today life? What is still the truth is that education is the most powerful weapon of all arsenal we havein fact stronger than guns, bombs and missiles to say.The reason is because its the source of all successes that have been achieved and to be achieved in future. So education is paramount its the hot bed to success and brings with it these benefit.
Education is the key that allows people to move up in the world, seek better jobs, and ultimately succeed fully in life. Education is very important, and no one should be deprived of it. The right to an education is one of the human natural rights which every person should have from youth to when they are old. Human natural rights are fundamental privileges acquire from the rational nature of man and the natural moral. Right to an education is an inalienable right for it cannot be renounced or transferred because it is necessary for the fulfillment of one’s primitive obligation.
In the world today, education is not as common as most people think. In fact, Harvard did a recent study on the worlds education status, and only 6.7 percent of the world’s population are college degree-holders. Education cannot be replaced, and that is what makes education in the world today so valued. If people are educated, they hold a higher social status throughout their culture. The opportunity to be educated gives one the chance to help others. The more people who become educated can then help others become educated, and the world’s percent for educated people will increase. Education results on a person by, increasing their tolerance for others, greater critical thinking skills, and having their moral obligations set.
That charismatic African leader Nelson Mandela once said that, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. It is truly so. Occurrence of good events and stopping of devastating events of history was solely due to the use of education. The events may range from abolition of slavery, European renaissance and formation of great civilizations to disease control, literacy increase and dialogue-oriented solutions i.e. peace treaties. So, education is an entity which brings change. It alters our thinking as well as actions. On the other hand, it encourages the right and discourages the wrong. In fact, education compels our mind to think carefully and then act. Therefore, why most people speak rarely of education in their foremost needs is a startling question. Nevertheless, peace and justice, freedom and equality, economic prosperity and good leadership are demanded frequently. This implies that real purpose of education has not been realized. Consequently, people are caught in a web of new issues plus continuing old ones. The global issues always require urgent, proper and contingency solutions. Broadly, education alone is the answer. The reason is that education stops harmful events, solves the global issues and creates better world with better education system. Therefore, the properly educate populace would play its part to better the society instinctively. Global or local issues would be solved naturally and seriously by an educated and united populace. Furthermore, the world would be less problematic as it is today. Hence, education needs to be top priority in all underdeveloped, developing as well as developed countries. This will ensure better lif...
