As mentioned by Perrenialism that education is the preparation for the future. But when one gets to the core of the word it is really important to society. Without education, society will fall apart. My goal in life is to help my student become productive citizens. Montessori believed in the worthiness, value and importance of children. Her method doesn’t compare a child to norms or standards that are measured by traditional educational systems. It is founded on the belief that children should be free to succeed and learn without restriction or criticism. As a progressivism I believe in problem solving and making skills, because in todays’ society if we don’t teach right and student don’t show any improvement they will not be able to work and/or to be hire in a company without skills. Especially for math and reading skills. I will describe education as an individual, unique experience for every students who participate in a classroom. In order for children to benefit from what school offers. However education is to bring about physical, mental and social development of an individual. Education also benefit both students and the community, when I was a substitute teacher in first grade I was kind of interviewing children by asking them question who they want to become after college a few kids said that they will go on to become lawyer, doctor and leaders of the future. According to Montessori children have a natural desire and ability to learn which I agreed with it because we all have different skills of learning some learn by visual and others by hearing. That’s how we grow because each one of us have his own way of learning and have different skills to perform. As of existentialist they believe in Personal bettering, morally and spiritual. Which I think is the purpose of most curriculums as presented in a classroom all over the world especially by focusing more in reading.
