Some of the most debatable topics among the world today include drugs and drug abuse. Marijuana specifically has created uproar within the government and personal beliefs and opinions. Although controversial among society, Marijuana can be used to benefit people in many ways. For both medicinal and recreational use, Marijuana can revolutionize the world in a positive manner. The risks of the use of Marijuana are slim to none when compared to the possible developing role it could have on society.
Marijuana is a substance made from the cannabis plant that can be smoked or ingested. Smoking marijuana is three times more effective than ingesting it. It is most commonly smoked in a pipe, in a bong, or in the papers used to roll a cigarette (a joint). The cannabis sativa plant is the most recognizable plant among people today. Hashish is another form of marijuana. Hashish, also known as hash, is the resin from the buds of the cannabis plant. Hashish can also be smoked or eaten. Kif in Morrocco, dagga in South Africa, and ganja in India; Marijuana is globally known and used substance. In the western hemisphere, marijuana is referred to as weed, pot, grass, reefer, dope, herb and Mary Jane.
There are two main strains of the cannabis plant, Cannabis Sativa and Cannabis Indica. There is also a hybrid strain that is composed of both the Sativa and Indica strain. The major differences between Cannabis Sativa and Cannabis Indica include their look and their effects. Cannabis Sativa is a taller and thinner plant that has narrow leaves. It is a lighter color than the Cannabis Indica plant that is shorter and has thicker leaves.
