War has a dramatic effects on countries. During the Renaissance, there were many wars for territories, for religions, and for political reasons. These wars created new feeling of nationalism and gave power to the monarchy in England and France. Over the course of time, from 1337 to 1459, there were many technological advances which were a resulted of the wars.
One of the wars that had a major effect is the Hundred Year War. During the war there were many helpful advances. For example gunpowder, artillery, and longbow, were a big achievements of the war. Longbows were an, English invention so that soldier would have a wider distance range.. Longbows were better than the crossbow because the longbow can shoot up to 270 yards men could shoot up to more than 10 bows per minute. At 14 training would begin, however English soldier did not go to war until the age of 21. When shooting the English had about five minutes to use their arrows when defending their land. The longbows gave England an advantage when they were fighting the French. The use of artillery change the war the war especially for France, cannons that were made weighed about 3 tons and the stone cannon balls were about 300 pounds. It took many men to just make one of these cannons. Portable hand cannons were made because it would be easier house kill the enemy. The hand cannon had a small piece of metal with a wooden rod for the recoil of the mini cannon. When the gunpowder was reduces it would be still a powerful weapon. Artillery was an important weapon in the battle field, because artillery kill a lot of men when fired.

Many men like to reancate what happen in the war so they use longbows to fight each other. Cannons are very commonly used for wars, for example revolutionary war, civil war, the war 1812, WWI and WWII are all good examples of when cannons were uses in later times in history as we know it. Still today the cannon are in every army that there are, meaning that the cannons have gutten better and more powerful over the years.
To conclude the technology was advancing over time for better war strategy. Longbow for a long time was one of the best range hand weapon in it time. Cannons were first used in the hundred year war and still being improved today in war and out of war. Because of this the world change over time when new tech came about.
