Domestic violence in America, what is domestic violence? A behavior used to establish power and control over a person through fear, intimidation, threats or use of violence. Terms use of domestic violence include intimate partner violence, battering, relationship abuse, spousal abuse or family violence. Domestic violence does not discriminate, it doesn 't matter if your gender, race, and sexual orientation. Your wealth or statics in like does not matter, it can happen to men or women. In the United States, most domestic violence is never reported. People or either too ashamed, scared or don 't know it 's considered abuse. I will do my research on domestic abuse, list the stats for El Paso Texas and the United State. Who is most likely to Suffer from Domestic violence or become a victim of violence? What are the percentage of men who are a victim? Does Domestic abuse really happen? How often does it occur? Where does it occur? What occurs with the victim of domestic violence? I will conclude with how you can prevent domestic violence.
Domestic abuse tends to increase from threats, verbal abuse to violence. The physical injury will be the most obvious sign, the emotional and psychological problems cause by the abuse severe. Abusive most often will your self-worth, lead to anxiety, depression, and make you feel alone and helpless. You should have to endure this pain. Take the first step to change this, recognizing that you 're being abused. Face the reality of the abuse, then you can get the help you need. The telling sign of abuse is being afraid of your partner if you have constantly watched what you’re saying in order to avoid an anger. It is a chance you’re in an abusive relationship. Do you feel afraid of your partner much of the time? Believe that you deserve to be hurt or mistreated? Feel emotionally numb or helpless? Does your partner yell at you? Does your partner embarrassed to the point they make your friends or family to see? Put down your opinions or accomplishments or blame you for their own abusive behavior? One you know some of these sign you have to be able to understand it and not be in denial. Domestic violence is a cycle, the family is the core of a community and the thread that ties individuals to something larger. When something so elemental is twisted by violence, it undermines everything about our way of life if you do nothing about it the sickness only festers.
