The tranquil skyline of New York was the setting for my office. I was

on the 42nd floor working for the world leading G.H.Martin & Son, the

stockbrokers. My office had some of the most beautiful views in the

world. You could look out of the window and look at all of the boats

in the docks going about their daily business. When I used to stay at

work late, you could see the beautiful red sun going down behind the

buildings, I could not have wished for anything better.

=====================================================================

I had been a very hectic morning, everyone was stressed out because we

did have a big order coming through. We were all in the meeting room

on the east side of the North tower. We had all just been told that we

were getting a pay rise, so everybody was happy. All of a sudden there

was an almighty, ear-piercing bang from above and a huge fireball came

down the building and shattered the windows. We all jumped up in

amazement and shock, we knew that we were going to have to get out of

there. We were all running around in a daze wondering what had

happened, we made for the stairs only to find that they were full, at

this rate there was not going to be any hope of us getting out we

finally got into the cramped stairwell and started our painfully slow

descent down the huge building. The people who had come from the

floors above were all covered in dust. It was like they had been out

in the middle of winter, they just looked like human snowmen. The

stairwell was extremely cramped and hot, people's clothes were

drenched in sweat from the struggle of trying to descend. I got to the

bottom of a set of stairs and it was the 6th floor, my luck was

changing maybe I did have a chance of getting out after all. Finally

about 5 minutes later I could see the bottom of the ground floor

stairs.
