As part of the main story in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, you are on a quest to find a secret power, enriched with gold and riches that lies within a cave protected by natives in order to maintain the peace and prosperity of a nation. As an assassin, you are part of a secret order that kills people by following a code. You have to assassinate the people that stand in the way of your creed and learn pieces of history to connect the dots. Swords, daggers, maces, darts, poison, smoke bombs, and a lot of blood. These are your weapons. Every little bit of graphic realism comes from the immersive environment around you, making you feel like you are a part of the game. You are stepping into the shoes of a trained assassin.
In this argument, I will compare and contrast from both ends of the table from two different positions on violent video games and explain if they contribute to youth violence. I will go detail to detail on the causes and effects of certain psychological behavior and how it may or may not contribute to violent video games being the cause of youth violence.
We will create an argument on both sides and then I will provide my position and explain what I think. For this topic, we will provide clear and concise information to allow you to form your own opinion and base it off of facts, studies, and behaviors caused by video games.

Both the American Psychological Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics take a strong stance against children and young adults playing video games. From a pure adult standpoint, I think that violent video games should be limited to young adults and adults, because kids will learn from a lot they see. Whereas, an adult will see what they play and have a better common sense on what they are playing and know how to channel their emotions towards certain things. Especially for people in the military, it’s a great stress reliever for those who have probably faced things like this in the past. A child, who hasn’t seen much of the world yet, will be behind closed doors and see this as something that you can do or be influenced by it. It really depends on the context of what the child has been grown up in or been subjected to.
