Discrimination can occur in many areas of an individual’s life. It can occur in a public place, in school, with police officers or the law, and in politics, but the most commonly seen is the use of discrimination in the workplace. Although laws to prohibit discrimination in the workplace were put in place to protect the employees’ rights during the early sixties, does not mean it abolished the problem as a whole. It is still occurring to this day. A huge discussion on discrimination of sex and gender is, what causes it and what reasons does it still exists?

...a wide variety of employees in the workforce. A step for employees who are being discriminated against in their work could take would be the simple act of a communication. The employee should be able to talk to their employer about any issues they have or face during their everyday at work.
A way for any person, including myself, to demolish the large issue of discrimination could be practiced in many ways. A person could abolish the use of negative words about anyone if it relates to anything outside their control, be more aware of the problem, and if you do become aware of it, ask yourself if there is anything you could do to help that person. A person could also think about their thoughts and actions and the effect they could possibly have on a person before stating them, and most importantly stand up for what is right instead of what is popular and cool.
