There are many different types of learning styles. It is important to know your preferred learning style because it will make you more successful in life. The types of learning styles are visual, aural, read/write, and kinesthetic. A visual learner use pictures, images and spatial understanding. An aural (auditory-musical) prefers using sound and music. A verbal (linguistic) learner prefers using words, both in speech and writing. Lastly, kinesthetic (physical) learner prefers using their body, hands and sense of touch. Well according to Oregon Health & Science University, multimodal learners prefer several different ways of ingesting information. Combining different methods for learning information can be helpful for a multimodal learning style. The different types of learning methods used in a multimodal can be visual, aural, read/write, and kinesthetic. The individual may use all four or only two or three of those learning methods to accomplish its learning objective. For example, my preferred learning style is multimodal, which incorporates a little bit of all or some of the learning styles. On the other hand, my preferred learning strategies go hand in hand with my learning style. As a nursing student, it was a must to know my learning style and the strategies to use to be successful. Therefore, as a student and now as a nurse who educated her patients I continuous to use these strategies. As a student, I would watch videos, listen to the recorded lecture over and over again. I would take notes, look at pictures and join study
