Apart from the obvious biological differences between Men and women we differ in numerous ways, some of which we aren't even conscious of. The way we look, the way behave is all a part of our DNA. We have different genes, our brains are wired differently and we have different hormones.
We all know that women have two “X” chromosomes and men have one “X” and one “Y” chromosome. The X and Y chromosomes determine a person’s sex. Chromosomes contain the set of instructions to create living being. The male Y chromosome and female X chromosome are different in size and vary in the number of working genes. The X chromosome can contain more than 1,000 working genes, while the Y has less than 100.
There have been several studies done on the inactive X chromosome in women. "Our study shows that the inactive X in women is not as silent as we thought," said Laura Carrel, Ph.D., assistant professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. "The effects of these genes from the inactive X chromosome could explain some of the differences between men and women that aren't attributable to sex hormones."

Innate Difference Between Men and Women Essay

- In some way, have we failed to state the basic facts about innate differences between the sexes to our children. We have people that want to say that the division of the two sexes, female and male, is just an artificial invention of our culture and labeling a child as a “girl” or “boy” is a social decision. British researchers compiled and analyzed a large body of gender-related neurological research book, "Brain Sex: The Real Difference between Men and Women". They determined that men and women act different because of their brains are different and the evidence is  "conclusive" and "incontrovertible" that men and women have different mentalities and thus perceive the world differently (Rau...   [tags: Women's Rights]

- Think about the world if it were a utopia, even though we are all made different. There are unique differences between men and women. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Essay on Equality between Men and Women

- For thousands or even millions of years, almost ever since mankind began, women were considered weaker than men. Women were the ones tending their homes and looking after their offspring. Men were the heroes who risked their lives in search of food to keep their families alive. Thus, over the thousands of years of human civilization the belief that men are superior in strength and intelligence is deeply embedded in everyone’s minds. Feminism grew popular only these 50 years. Let us be realistic, can such a ‘young’ ideal replace a deep-seated belief of thousands of years overnight....   [tags: Women weaker than men?]
