Did Jesus really exist? There are many facts and data that show the truth that was Jesus. Many people do not believe he was real, these people have their arguments as to why they do not believe that Jesus existed, but it is clear from historical documents that Jesus was real. Not only is there the Gospels from the Bible as evidence, there are other historical documents, non-Biblical, that prove he existed.
What is probably considered the most popular and also the most in depth documentation is from the Bible. The Gospels consist of the books Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These four books of the bible explain Jesus’ life each in their own ways. The Synoptic Gospels as most people likely do not know off, that of which contain the books Matthew, Mark, and Luke. These three books tell the story of Jesus in many of the same ways, all in contrast with the book John. It is very easy to get ahold of a Bible because it is possible to walk into any church, and it will be offered free to anybody who does not own a Bible. That shows how those Christians want to get the message across of who Jesus is. There are so many parts in these four books that show evidence of his existence. A couple examples include, “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One” (New International Version 1 John 2:1). And “Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you.’” (John 20:26). There are many more scripture like this. The problem is that the reader needs to trust what they are reading in the Bible to believe that it is true. It...

...elves of who they are and their qualifications. He believes, along with many people, that the Gospels are not trustworthy. The Gospels come from people who wrote about Jesus’ life and it does seem somewhat controversial, but it all is just a matter of opinion of whether or not people will believe it, at this point.
So did Jesus really exist? All of the factual information that was given in this papers makes it seem like it had to have been true. Many people still do not believe he existed but with the research done, it seems true. It is understandable that some people go through the Bible, and nonbiblical historical documents to find reasons as to Jesus not having existed. But, with all the information from the Bible and the numerous historical figures, it seems hard to believe that people still do not believe, whether or not they are Christian, that Jesus existed.

- In many modern day Christian teachings there is an emphasis on the individual to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and be perfect. If human beings are able to be perfect then they are following the Christian path correctly and are able to reach salvation. Many Christians would question where or not it is possible to be as perfect as Jesus. Is it possible to be like Jesus. Is it possible to be perfect. Real Diversity And Jesus Christ Essay

- Real Diversity and Jesus Christ The exact relationship between philosophy and theology has been greatly debated throughout many different eras of thought. Pope Saint John Paul II addressed this very question in his encyclical Fides et Ratio. Facing challenges from numerous sides, he offers a distinctly Catholic position: “There is a profound and indissoluble unity between the knowledge of reason and the knowledge of faith…This is to say that with the light of reason human beings can know which path to take, but they can follow that path to its end, quickly and unhindered, only if with a rightly tuned spirit they search for it within the horizon of faith....   [tags: Plato, Philosophy, Metaphysics, Aristotle]

Essay on Who Is The Best Liar Of All Time?

- You might be thinking: “Really. All this talk and it’s a religious scheme.” I understand. But what I also understand is that our culture has absolutely no idea of who Jesus really is. Therefore, how can we completely disregard Him. Many “believe” in Him and it’s historically proven that He did in fact exist. So He either was the Son of God or He was the best liar of all time. Doing The Right Thing Chuck Colson Essay

- Doing the Right Thing-Chuck Colson In this video, the one thing that caught my attention was when Charles Colson stated that “when he worked in the prisons 35 years ago there were 229,000 people in prison. Today there are 2.3 million people in prison.” This really caught my attention because it is just a great example of how our culture is starting to crumble right before our very eyes. There is an epidemic of drug abuse, corruption, thievery and all-around madness going on in America today. It really does seem like ethics are non-existent and this is the very reason why our jail system is currently overloaded....   [tags: Christianity, Jesus, God, Bible]
