Depression
















My research paper is on depression. Depression is feelings of severe despondency and dejection. Depression can happen to anyone. Some of the symptoms of depression are behavioral and physical symptoms. Some of these changes may include sleep, appetite, energy level, concentration, daily behavior, or self-esteem. With depression, you can have thoughts of suicide. An example of suicide I have is I know someone close to me that had depression. One of my friends that worked with my sister she was going thru depression and anxiety at the same time, one day she committed suicide and that was the end of her life.
To tell if someone is depressed you can see some of the symptoms like sadness, tiredness, and their change in behavior. Some of the treatment of depression can be antidepressant medication, or psychiatric help as well. Women are more likely than men to get depression. Some depression can come out of the blue even if your life is going the way you wanted to.
Depression can take many forms of disorder. Like an example would be bipolar disorder when people have many personalities. One time they are one person and another time they are themselves. “Bipolar disorder is also known as manic depression it causes shifts in mood, energy, thinking, -and behavior from the highs of mania on one extreme, to the lows of depression on the other’’. Lastly that the article talks about is seasonal affective disorder it characterizes the onset depression of winter months when it gets dark early outside and cold. This normally will go away when the spring comes.
