Victor Schorr Case Study

The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) is funding this psychosexual deviancy evaluation and the referring Social Worker is George Nelson. This evaluation has been requested to determine Mr. Victor Schorr’s current risk of sexual misconduct. It is alleged that Mr. Schorr engaged in child molest behaviors with his children from his third wife, Jennifer Schorr, and one daughter from his second marriage. Mr. Schorr denies these allegations.

The following are excerpts from the referral packet given to this evaluator by the DSHS case manager George Nelson:

The Department has received numerous allegations of sexual abuse involving Mr. Schorr since 2008 (when Madison was about 4 years old).

Schorr states that his earliest sexual memory was when he was 14 years old. He states that his grandfather talked to him about the “Birds and the Bees” because his mother did not feel comfortable talking to him about sex. He went on to say that he did not learn much about sex from his grandfather because, “He only had two girls and was still at a loss, but still talked about sex as much as he could”. Mr. Schorr states that he also had sex education at school as part of his health class.

Mr. Schorr states that part of the sexual education he received from his grandfather was a strategically placed “Playboy” magazine he left for Mr. Schorr to view. He states that after seeing the nude images of adult women he became sexually aroused and began to play with his penis, something he later learned was masturbation. After viewing the Playboy, he states that he masturbated 2 to 3 times a week as a teenager, and currently two to three times a month. Mr. Schorr states that pornography was not something he actively sought out as a child and did not consume pornography regularly until his early twenties, “I had a subscription to Playboy for a few years, then I stopped getting them”. Mr. Schorr states that he viewed pornography with his last wife, Jennifer Schorr, “She enjoyed watching them and drinking bottles of wine”, and the last time he purchased/rented a pornographic video was about nine years ago. Schorr’s last marriage was to Jennifer Schorr. Mr. Schorr states that the two were married for six years and the two divorced after Jennifer alleged that he sexually molested their daughter Madison. Mr. Schorr states that he and Jennifer have three children together, Madison (10), Levi (9), and Michael (8). Mr. Schorr reports that he and Jennifer met while he was playing billiards at a bar and Jennifer’s mother introduced her to Mr. Schorr and later insisted that he drive her home because she was under the influence of alcohol. Six weeks later, he states that they got married and began having children. “I loved her to death, but at the end I just couldn’t be around her”, according to Mr. Schorr. Mr. Schorr reports that he believed his marriage to Jennifer was “good” up until they had their second child Levi. After Levi was born, he reports that Jennifer’s alcohol consumption increased as well as their arguing and “fighting”. Mr. Schorr states, “The neighbors called me and complained that she was drinking and not paying attention to the kids and that’s when I sent her to alcohol treatment on my insurance”. Not long after completing her treatment, Jennifer and Mr. Schorr got pregnant with their third child Michael, according to Mr. Schorr. He reports that after Michael was born he and Jennifer continued to have arguments and fights and he later learned she was drinking alcohol again.
