Dell Inc is a multinational digital technology firm with its headquarters in the United States of America. Initially, the company was referred to as the Dell Computer Corporation. Later in 2003, the company adopted a new name; Dell Inc to indicate its expansion to provide other products and services alongside personal computers. Similarly, IBM is a multinational computer technology firm that manufacturers both computer software and hardware. Dell Inc came into being in the wake of 1984. Its founder, Michael Dell was then a University of Texas student (Baumann 12). On the other hand, the Amazon Web Services Inc is a digital technology firm that provides pocket friendly cloud computing services.
The three firms have a significant market share in the consumer industry. For instance, research indicates that Dell Inc was voted as being a rapidly growing Integrated Technology Company when compared to others. Similarly, it is so far the best storage solutions firm as per the mid 2014 records. In the server market, Dell Inc scooped the second position. Reports from the company indicate that it has recorded a doubling of its returns every single year (Ignatiuk 10).
The IBM Corporation is one of the firms that have competed for a significant market share since the 19th century. It is a large firm with a global presence complete with at least four hundred thousand employees. IBM boasts of five Nobel recognitions and technology medals. On the other hand, Amazon Web Services Inc is a cloud computing market leader. Its services are present in eleven regions in the globe. Its data centers have many clients including government agencies; thus, making it a popular digital computing solutions provider.

Amazon has a wide range of business applications. Some of them include the Amazon ElastiCache which provides a large memory cache for a wide variety of web applications. The amazon Kinesis makes data available at the most appropriate time (Murty 11). This allows users to access any volume of data when they need it. Lastly, there is the AWS Data Pipeline which allows the user to transfer data from one storage service to the other.
While IBM, Dell and AWS are three leaders in Hadoop technologies, there are still many other companies out there that could be better equipped for what you want to do. The most important thing is to have a clear understanding of what you or your client are trying to accomplish, and select the vendor that best meets your needs in the most cost effective way possible.
