The death penalty shouldn’t be abolished in China
Death penalty is one of the oldest punishments in the world, it means end of criminal’s life by law. Nowadays, the issue of whether the death penalty should be abolished in China is still a controversial topic. Many people think death penalty is a bad way to punishment criminals because this method violates humanitarianism and it’s also a bit cruel. Besides, two of third countries in the world have abolished it. So many people say our country should do the same thing. However, in China, the death penalty is essential.The penalty has reason for its existence on national condition, legal system and human nature.
First of all, China has very complex national condition. As we all known, China has the largest population in the world, and people have many different nations, as well as different religions. These factors decide that our country should have a severe legal measures to control social order from basic. People afraid of the death penalty, so the vast majority of them won’t commit crimes. But if our government abolished the death penalty, what will happen? Recently, Kunming train station accident causes a big social unrest, if the criminals won’t be executed, the same thing may happen from time to time. What’s more, murders maybe happen every day, the corruption perhaps become more and more serious…If so, who can protect us? How could we make our daily life normally? Many people may say, by 2009 there are 92 countries in the world have abolished the death penalty (Baidu Encyclopedia) and majority of them have a stable and peaceful society. Of course, it’s true. This method can become an alarm bell in people’s heart, and has benefit to maintain social order. The death penalty is a good system of constraints on their behavior. Therefore, the death penalty shouldn’t be abolished in today’s China.
In conclusion, although the death penalty has some defects, we can reform it to make it become more suitable for our society. However, as there are so many complex factors, the death penalty shouldn’t be abolished in China.

A man is standing there with a noose around his neck. When there is a signal, the rope is cut, and the man’s body is dropped through the trap door. He is hanged like that in front of a crowd, which is even including old people and small kids. Is there anybody thinks about how would a child react if he had to witness such a horrible scene? An execution takes one’s life to warn the community with the hope that the crime rates would go down. But it is extremely cruel, and it makes people feel like they are living in the ancient world when there are no human rights. Now the world is evolving in the way of civilizing, so execution should be kicked out of this society because instead of bringing benefits to the community, the execution brings a lot of more destruction.
This paper will examine the pros and cons of the death penalty. Is it a deterrent or is that a myth. Does it give the family of the victim peace or does it cause them to suffer waiting for appeal after appeal. What are the forms of execution and any evidence of them being cruel and usual punishment. Is the death penalty fair if there are glaring, disparities in sentencing depending on geographic location and the color of the offender and victim’s skin?
The United States has a long history with the death penalty. The “first recorded execution was in Jamestown in 1608” (“Death Penalty in America” 259). Since then, thirty five states have continued to use the death penalty. Now it can be considered a normal punishment and many people feel strongly about it, but maybe we should forget what we have done in the past and take a second look. The death penalty should not be used in the United States because it is too expensive, affects the poor and minorities more than others, and (even though many people think it is true) the death penalty does not deter crime.
Eliminating the death penalty as a method of punishment will only allow criminals to wreak havoc and chaotic in our community without the fear of death. When a person commits a crime, they are disrupting the order in the community. Justice help restore the disruption of that order. The Death penalty restore social order and give the states authority to maximized retribution for the victims. When the state does not have the authority to maximum retribution, the public may put the law in their own hands. Although, execution may be cruel and inhumane, it is nothing compared to the fate of many victims in the hand of the murderers. The purpose of the death penalty is to provide retribution for the victims and their families. However, retribution is not revenge. “Vengeance signifies inflicting harm on the offender out of anger because of what he has done. Retribution is the rationally supported theory that the criminal deserves a punishment fitting the gravity of his crime” (Pojman, 2004).
In conclusion, our justice system is full of flaws and proves to show why the death penalty should be abolished. The reasons for it to be abolished include: financials cost, long drawn out process, more effective sentencing styles, the conviction and execution of an innocent person and the violation of the “cruel and unusual” punishment clause in the Bill of Rights. While the death penalty may seem like the right thing to do under the philosophy of “Eye for Eye”, it only encourages the ongoing process of criminal behavior. Our criminal justice system is blurred and sometimes ineffective when it comes to certain cases. Moreover, justice can be bought rather served.
The death penalty is legal in thirty-two states. I shall argue that capital punishment should be abolished in our country because it is never moral to kill a human being no matter what they have done, because it often costs more money to keep someone on death row than to keep someone in prison for life, because of the men and women who are wrongly accused of a crime they did not commit, and because death is the easy way out.
Almost all nations in the world either have the death sentence or have had it at one time. It was used in most cases to punish those who broke the laws or standards that were expected of them. Since the death penalty wastes tax money, is inhumane, and is largely unnecessary it should be abolished in every state across the United States. The use of the death penalty puts the United States in the same category as countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia which are two of the world’s worst human rights violators (Friedman 34). Lauri Friedman quotes, “Executions simply inject more violence into an already hostile American society.”
The Death Penalty should be discontinued to the families, human rights, and statistics. The families of the victim and the family of the one, who committed the crime, have no closure at all. The death penalty is killing a human for being convicted of a terrible crime one family may think its right but both suffer by their lost ones. “Although true closure is never really possible for the families, studies have shown that the continual process, along with the returning to court for many years, force families to confront the gruesome details of the crime many times over, making it impossible to get on with their lives.

But when will people realize that just because someone may have killed a loved one that the best thing for that person is to die also? People don't realize that they are putting the blood of another person's life on their hands.
The cruel methods of the execution are no longer exists in modern China. The government want to use some more humane method to execute criminals and there are stricter and more accurate process to determine whether the sentence of death penalty is needed for the criminal. DEATH PENALTY SYSTEM IN MODERN CHINA Although the modern Chinese legal system has developed quite late compare to other countries in the world, the death penalty system included in the legal system has developed quite well. For example, a people who murdered someone would not get the death penalty.
