Six Million Jews were murdered during the holocaust. On September 11th, 2001 almost three thousand people were murdered in a terrorist attack on America. In the aftermath of these horrific tragedies the world came together as one to bring justice to the victims. Since 1980, 1.5 billion babies have been murdered worldwide. No one talks of these victims, let alone protest in the streets, or sends troops to bring justice to these babies. They are forgotten. There is no requirement to be an ethicist to know that genocide, slavery, and terrorism are immoral. The only requirement is to be a human with the ability to reason, but this is where the first problem lies. Abortion is permissible because human fetuses are not people. Thankfully society has wised up on the latter two. Nevertheless, there are only two realities in this world. Either we are here for no purpose with no rights and no moral code, or we were placed here by a higher power for a reason with a moral code. Pro-choice advocates can spin their views however they wish to further their agenda, but they will have to give their account to God at the throne of justice, assuming they make it past St. Peter. For we have had a moral code our entire lives. The Bible was written almost 3500 years ago and yet it answers all moral questions if we take the time to read it and live by it. One of the ten commandments is commonly translated as, “thou shall not kill”, but the Hebrew translation, “you shall not murder” is more accurate. God teaches that there is a difference between killing and murder. Aborting a human being is murder, because killing the innocent is never justifiable.
