The three companies chosen for this evaluation range from a foundation whose entire existence is based on helping people to a corporation who is basically a monopoly for power in several U.S. states and whose #1 goal is profit. Overview First, The Daniels Fund is a charitable foundation based out of Denver, Colorado. Founded in 2000, The Daniels Fund is named after Bill Daniels, a wealthy entrepreneur that spent the majority of his life helping others. Upon his death, he bequeathed his entire fortune to The Daniels Fund celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2010. The mission of The Daniels Fund – the goal – is to further the values and ideals of Bill Daniels. “We are committed to fulfilling the intent and directions of our donor. Our goal is to reflect the compassion, ethics and integrity of Bill Daniels in all we do.” The Daniels Fund partners with non-profit organizations and provides scholarships and grants in several states. Some of the areas where financial assistance is given are individual educational scholarships, grants to school systems and individual schools, food banks, YMCA’S, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, Children’s Hospital, disability services, Hospice programs, youth development, early childhood education, homeless assistance, and sports.
