Cyber Bullying is the harassment carried out by a individual or group by electronic means such as phones, laptops and Ipods. Cyber Bullying effects not only the metal state of the victim but the flow on effects such as harassment defamation and threats and can carry on to being physical. These can include depression, eating disorders and self harm.

The hypothesis that was made by the year 11 health class is that by raising awareness of cyber Bullying, the prevalence of this issue and related behavior will decrease. Social factors that can affect cyber Bullying include social structures, social factors, and social relationships and networks. Cyber Bullying has a negative effect on peer groups. National state and local statistic where collected that reflect the statistics gathered at the school. Judging on the statistics there is a clear need to strengthen community action within the Meridan State College community. This was done by identifying analyzing and evaluating an equitable plan for my year nine peers at Meridan State College. The data that was collected was in accordance with the federal, state and local statistics. The strengths of this action plan include having a willing audience and the year 11 students worked as a team. The weakness is that one class out of the year 9 cohort was surveyed and that the action plan should be implemented for a longer period of time. “Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life, but define yourself.”–Harvey S. Firestone. This quote reflects the thesis.
